Was thinking the pop 5 Pikachu/wailmer card, but honestly I like this one more
i always love cards showing pokemon “living“ in an environment like that!
Imagine looking under the bridge and seeing dratini swimming through!
Gotta be the auto pika I got from Baltimore holds a lot of personal memories of meeting so many cool folks and meeting my favorite artist ![]()
Peak Delta species art!
Love Flaafy! This has to be my favorite artwork they’ve gotten great pick!
Wilddddd card and even crazier autograph. The doodle is so cute!!
Nice balls ![]()
One of my favorite cards ever. Of course, it’s by my favorite artist, Atsuko Nishida. I think Expedition Pichu perfectly captures the feeling of joy.
Cards that depict a Pokemon’s personality are my favorite. This Light Jolteon protecting a sleeping Rattata and Togpi is beyond cute.
A disgustingly powerful depiction of Delta Species Gyarados. What a beautiful palette. Kusajima strikes again!
Thank you! Love he did doodles on the autos ![]()
It’s one of the 22 Art Academy cards, of an illustration contest in late 2014 & early 2015.
There were three individually competing regions: Japan; North America; and Europe + Oceania, for both a Pikachu and non-Pikachu contest, resulting in six Japanese; five English; and one Spanish Pikachu cards, as well as a Japanese Goomy; Sableye; Gourgeist; and Mudkip; English Primal Kyogre EX; Tangrowth; Chespin; and Delphox; a German Mew; and a French Kecleon. Each winner received 100 copies of their cards, and multiple extra copies are floating around.
Unfortunately for me, the Pikachu artwork of Ginga above, which is my personal favorite Pikachu artwork, is also the hardest to find of the 22 AA cards, and therefore most expensive (~100k-200k USD last time I’ve heard).
(FWIW, I’m happy to say I currently own 8 out of 12 of the AA Pikachu in my collection, only missing four of the Japanese ones.)
Greetz,
Quuador
Yes.
Ampharos (Steam Siege)
Whilst many great selections have already been posted, I’ve always enjoyed this depiction of Amphy (I refuse to believe it is not the Olivine City Ampharos) happy, healthy, and jubilantly fulfilling her duty as the living lighthouse!
Neo Genesis Pichu was born for this poll.
The illustration with happy face is so easy to recognize while the background is really interesting: surely many people thought it represents fire/ice when in reality those things in the back are just bunch of ice cubes as seen during stock photo reveal.
