Depends what you are looking to trade for. From my experiences at a few World championships before, I wanted to trade with Japanese players for their Cards, Sleeves, and Packs. Usually the best things I could trade were the World Championship exclusive products bought at the world store (or the promo set distributed at the event, the Japanese card), or Pokemon merch that couldn’t be purchased in Japan. Things may be a bit different now as there is much more ease with purchasing items oversees for this respect.

I’m not sure what you are looking to trade for, but I’m sure that your vintage sealed product will be a hit with people from around the world! Many valuable cards should be popular there, just make sure not to bring too much, so that you can always keep an eye on your items, as there are some cases where cards are stolen. Also if you have pictures or a list of stuff you want, that will be helpful for negotiating (literally printed out). Lastly, be careful when exchanging money for anything there, as it might get you kicked out of the venue.

TCG Players - Modern playable raw cards

Collectors - PSA / Vintage product!

There may be a record number of people from this forum there this year. It may be worth bringing anything you’re not tied to. You’ll have a better chance of trading/selling vintage stuff this year than previous years.

I always find it difficult to trade higher value items because it’s hard to approximately match value and have both parties get something they want.

I would recommend bringing some interesting cards or a binder to show off and a few things to trade if you’re interested in trading with e4 people. Last year I found that outside of the people from e4 there was very little that I was interested in. Mostly binders of modern full arts with the occasional played vintage card.

Why do you think vintage will trade better this year? Just curious.

The increased number of people coming from E4 who are interested in vintage.

@pieterpie,@swolepoke,@gemmintpokemon,@pkmnflyingmaster,@merciersj,

Thank you all for your responses! This really helps so I know what is worth bringing. Now my only problem is how I can fit my stuff into a backpack that doesn’t count as oversized lol
