Pokémon Topps Series 1 FIFTH PRINT

Hello! I have a question,
Recently I got some Topps (Series 1), and according to Bulbapedia, this ‘Version’ would be the 5th Print (foils with a ‘smooth’ finish but a black logo, features of both 1st and 2nd printings).
Does anyone know anything about those?
I don’t collect these myself, so I might be looking to sell them.

I made a little post about the topps series 1 variants: Pokemon Topps Series 1 Collecting Guide

Black logo and smooth holo is indeed a unique combo. I don’t know if any additional details outside Bulbapedia really exist. You could ask @samsamsamsmsms who I believe wrote that Bulbapedia article

I had a few people reach out to me about there being a rainbow for the 5th as well. You can find a few cards on eBay to confirm existence. I have not seen the Charizard yet, but there are a few in the Pop at CGC.

Yeah, e very few on eBay. And mine are just Raw, not graded. But if you’d ever know someone who is looking to buy 5th prints, please send them to me

I recently bought Sandshrew and Sandslash with black label but silver flames finish. I thought flames finish only appeared on green label. I’m still trying to get my head around all the Holo versions. Any help would be appreciated.

Here is the answer!

Theres a 5th print rainbow sheet someone found. Interesting though is that 5th print is a misnomer. The sheet has the commodity code for the green logo set. It’s likely any cards people have that fit this are just error cards that somehow missed the debossing. There’s only maybe 20 on the cgc report and as far as I know no one has ever opened a box of these or has a complete set. The 5th print silver set seems to be somewhat intentional as using left over stock or producing in other countries that didn’t have the debossong equipment. The silver ones are found in packs with blue logo non foils cards and typically found outside the US which would build on either of those two theories. The silver cards seem less like error cards. Plenty of people have full sets and have opened full boxes as well.
