I tend to RNG manip in gen 3 (including the GameCube games). It just feels satisfying to hit those perfect frames than soft resetting. But I am currently soft resetting for a shiny Ho oh in Gold which I’m thinking is going to be way over odds. I wish there was a way to manip it but oh well.
Manip is very cool to see! Definitely a skill feat. Doing it in Colo is super cool.
The Colo and XD ones are definitely cool. Super satisfying too. Maybe once I actually get around to completing a shiny living dex in that gen, I’ll move to gen 4 and manip there.
If I did video games I would be obsessed with this!
So I decided to do a shiny starter hunt in leaf green. Hoping for the shiny char but I know it will take a while
I use an app counter. How long did it take? Congrats btw!
I hunted quite a few in sv.
In previous generations I find it to be far too tedious but it’s been really fun seeing them in the overworld, though the picnic mechanic is quite sluggish.
I hope going forward it can remain accessible, and though I understand some longer term hunters are not too pleased with how quick it can be.
I was breeding shinies in SwSh. Breeding in SV is easier, but the picnic somehow takes longer. I mostly just hunt wild shinies with Sandwiches on SV.
