This has a great feeling of depth and dimension to it, and in the background, you can see 3 holes where the birds flee through the cloud. Neat little touch. (Not sure about the vanishing point, but NBD.)

the fact that we get a Zapdos art like this and there’s some that can say that is underwhelming or Boring shows how amazing the art has been for Pokemon lately.
but come on guys this art is amazing, to hate on it feels like you are looking at a card and actively looking to hate something about it or you just cant separate your expectations from what Pokemon gives us. I love to speculate about cards all the time but I never allow it to make me not like things just because they are not what I expected.

i was saying something similar to this in the discord. we’re pretty spoiled if we can look at a card like (for example) the zapdos (even though i have no problems with it, and say we think its uninteresting or otherwise don’t like it when something like it if there were no others would be universally praised.

I’m inclined to agree. On Pokebeach they just showed the artwork of the card in the thumbnail and I actually thought it was an SAR.

Agree that Flareon looks amazing!!! I also think most non full art cards got really nice artwork as well! It’s a shame that full art/ rarer cards are the ‘mainstream’ attractions but it is what it is!
