I wouldn’t say Gengar is uncool, but I’ve always personally preferred Haunter’s design.

Seems like you did the Haunter trade with Mindy in Gen 4 and developed Stockholm Syndrome from it.
I will admit, I put the whole Ghastly line on fairly equal levels in terms of looks.

Gastly Haunter Gengar IMO is the strongest 3 stage evolutionary line.

I do like Gengar, but ill say it often leaves me feeling unfulfilled. Not to mention the shiny… gastly and haunter are some of the nicest shiny pokemon, and then gengar just shows up like hey i am tanned.
Even Dark Gengar the card. Like its a good card, but the haunter is so much nicer!

My only half problem with Gengar as a kid was the evolution itself. Didn’t appreciate the transition from disembodied spirit to purple dude.
Kind of like Golem. He has an actual body now? Living rock ≠ Lizardman covered in rock

AR Omanyte 180/165 is the 15th AR, so somewhere in between
There are 13 Pokémon after Omanyte (#138), 2 of which are Pokémon ex so they will not be getting AR. For 24 AR to exist, 9 of those 11 need one

These EXs are giving me prime vibes, EXCEPT, unlike primes, they’re not stuck behind the frame, but coming OUT of it. Still, anyone else getting similar flashbacks?

Even though arbok ex is a cool looking one i would have loved if Kedamahadaitai Yawarakai did the whole evolution line, really love the style on ekans so really hoping they will illustrate more cards in future
