PokeColor is Quickly Becoming the Largest Source for Pokemon Artist Signatures

Yeah, I can’t stand the date and personalization requirement. I’m not huge into autos but if I do grab them I look only for cards signed before that requirement. I don’t want someone else’s name or a date on it.

This was the card sold on Fanatics Collect. Also broken off from the Heritage listing.

I was the underbidder on the blastoise on heritage earlier this summer. Hopefully will work out for the best!

if they have a business relationship with the artists, that taints all of the signatures for me, its very impersonal if they’re just churning them out

The artist are making a killing with private signings, I don’t blame them. Some of the coolest sketches I’ve seen so far..

It was on my watchlist too… funny how e4 members are always bidding against each other.

We are all defective :handshake:

The future:

No artist signing events that aren’t run by an auction house. Each signature costs 250 dollars.
Artists being legally barred from doing signing events independently, or even if you bump into them on the street, because they have a contract with an auction house.

250 dollas sounds cheap for what they go for dat might be for an arita one

I am happy that the iron grip that Pokemon has over artist signings seems to be weakening. No signings was bad for the entire hobby and market, and while I may not fully approve of who exactly is running these events, the fact that they are happening at all is a good sign for the market.

The signature market needs a ton right now, and reasonably consistent signing events delivering some kind of reliable and authentic supply are top of the list. Signings need to be more optimized and I’m glad we are moving in that direction.

There are lots of problems still to be fixed, but signing events happening in and of themselves is a great step in the right direction.

I had the exact same bid on that one hmm that’s a shame e4 couldn’t take it lol until the next one

Also, it seems they are paying the tariffs which is good

Must have made the bids within seconds of each other!

I expect it’ll be for sale again at some point, maybe we get it then

We had Haru Akasaka signing here recently in Malaysia.

I can’t justify the cost of the signatures though.

yep they pay tariffs, my friend had no tariffs to pay on his chinese mew exclusive purchased from pokecolor. was a seamless purchase.

I’m out on these despite very much wanting them and having bid on them all. Same “person” walking up every one of the items in $100 increments is classic pokecolor bs. Someone else can overpay at this point

I would be patient. They probably want to shill these 2025-signed first-to-market autos to boost the rest of their supply. If these do well, you bet they’ll be inviting Masago back. They’ll be as common as Himeno autos soon enough.

I can’t wait for that! I would love to see more pop up online and in the wild

More PokeColor Masago signed cards showing up on Fanatics Collect.

Solid pen choice on the Umbreon.

As far as I know, they haven’t held any events for Masago yet.
