People opening Toilet Paper Boxes

Do you guys think that my sealed 1st edition triple play toilet paper will rise in the future?
I see a lot of people hoarding and I am worried they will eventually flood the market, and my investment won’t appreciate in value.

I have also considered opening a case or 2 and selling individual sheets for artwork collectors. I can sell sets of seashells, dolphins, seahorses, and flowers but I am not sure of the demand.

Please do research for me, and give me a detailed response explaining what I should do. If it helps I have about 180 rolls I am sitting on.

Triple ply was actually overprinted. 2 ply is the tru 1st edition worth something.

Might as well crack the rolls and wipe my friend.

That doesn’t sound comfortable - is it some kind of custom made bed? Least if you shit yourself it’s technically a self-wipe onto it.

Love this.

That being said, would the mods consider an idea I had in a previous topic about having a dedicated thread for this kind of thing? It would be in regards to current prices, a guide on how to search previous prices through ebay and past sales, and directions on how to search said thread to see if your answer was already provided. I’m happy to help in this process if I can offer any assistance.

@milhouse 's satire shines light on how many posts like this we’re getting currently so I think it’s needed. It would clear up a lot of clutter on the forums too.

I’d say people should buy as much as they can before the tp market gets wiped up

I’ve thought that at this point it might be fun to have a monthly “What should I invest in?” poll. Yet, I know in my soul that Steam Siege would just win every time.

I read somewhere that 5 ply paper was a thing. Is this true??? I need answers quickly.

While we all meme and say Steam Siege etc. there is a much simpler way to decide what to “invest” in, since people seem to be asking this question even more now.

The maximal returns for any item will be gained by waiting out the market whims. I would say for most cards once a price has settled down it will be a fair bit higher in 20 years than what it is now. So, you need to buy things that you won’t be tempted to sell when they double in price over 6 months after they’ve stagnated for 5 years into your ownership. What are items you won’t sell? Ones you have a genuine connection to. The most practical collecting advice is (not surprisingly) the most practical investment advice. Buy what you like.

I definitely agree. I don’t think I’ve ever asked anyone except myself about what I should buy. I buy what I want and I’ve purchased cards that have quadrupled in price from what I bought it for, yet I know it really doesn’t matter because I wouldn’t sell even if they went up more. I would only sell if I needed to for a specific reason, or sell way down the road if I happened to have more than one, which I mostly don’t have extras.

I spend so much time online looking at Ebay and TCGPlayer for prices (current and sold) and pictures of artwork to try and figure out what I want, and what fits into my budget. Sometimes I’ve also learned that it takes as much as pulling the trigger and physically owning the card to realize whether or not It’s what I wanted. I truly want to understand what cards will make me happy, and that won’t happen overnight.

I do admit that “staying the course” hasn’t always been super easy for me. It’s easy to get caught up in other peoples’ thoughts and hype. Buying one thing and then jumping to something else that just became hot. Ultimately though, I believe that everything will continue to increase with time and whatever you were blowing off because it wasn’t super “in” at the time will come back around eventually and increase too. I’m trying to keep focused now to complete my collection goals that I 100% know I will always want, even if it gets boring refreshing Ebay tens of times a day to see if someone posted something I want in the condition I want. If I stray and their time comes back again for another round of price increases, I’ll just want to kick myself for not being better about it. Overall, I’m pretty happy with where I’m at now.
