I don’t think there’s much to do about this, just more of a public-service-announcement or small rant to vent some frustration.
I’ve been subscribed to Scott’s Patreon since summer last year. I’ve asked a variety of questions, but this is now the 2nd time that I’ve noticed one of my comments on an MMR post completely disappeared (doesn’t show in my post history, etc.). I assume it’s just a website glitch because I can’t think of anything in the comment that would warrant it being offensive.
The first time I noticed it was before the 50 question limit and this month it’s too late, lol. Scott’s already busy, so it’s alright.
What’s frustrating is that I’ll make sure the comment is there, and then like a few days later when I’m reading the other comments, I’ll do Ctrl+F for mine and it’s just suddenly gone. I check my post history and it’s gone there too.
Searching Google for “patreon comments disappear” seems to indicate this can happen on occasion. Annoying.
Ultimately this isn’t a big deal because Scott provides about 2 hours of good Q&A to listen to, and the E4 community is pretty insightful for most questions.
Exactly what @teraz said! Patreon is heavily automated and auto removes what it considered spam. I get notified sometimes about a new message, and when I click the notification, it redirects me to nothing.
