I believed the government changed the law to make clearance fee’s legal quite recently,

I must say though that bill is ridiculous, I understand VAT & Customs charges etc… but seriously for £0.33, bit of a joke!

You’ve got really unlucky there, my advice pay the bill and take it as experience.

I would suggest the stress Parcelforce will give you will not be worth the £11.25 saved,

On the other hand, if your going to fight it, best bet it to go to the depot it’s stored at and pay the £0.33 in cash and request the release of your parcel, otherwise they can quite easily ‘fob’ you off over phone, email etc…

Just got item today (USPS → Parcelforce) from the US without any charge. Either I was lucky or a proper form of declaration is needed.

Here in Canada it’s quite common to get charged $10+ in clearance fees regardless of the item value. This is why you have sometimes people paying $15 customs for like a $30 item. It’s silly, but it does indeed happen from time to time.

£0.33… These guys are hungry. lol
