Yeah some combos actually look very aesthetically pleasing :stuck_out_tongue:

Nice cards!

I print my own ‘shrouds’. The primary purposes is for mounting cards on my wall and they are printed in the same material as the graded guard (TPU). The material cost is 30 cents per shroud.

As far as my opinion on Graded Guard, they’re not for me but there’s nothing wrong with having options.

Edit: I suck at mental math

Ma man!
Would you care to share some pictures of your shrouds?

I’m not a huge fan of slab protectors because slight variations with molding (whether it be the slab or the guard) can cause unwanted pressure or damage to your slabs, which may compromise the value of your collection.

I was first made aware of this being issue on @haytertcg 's video last month, where it appears the slab guard caused the slab to crack at timestamp 15:30.

Those are the really cheap bad ones lol

Sure. I’ll shoot you a DM in a bit. Don’t want to derail the thread

I apologize in advance, this is interesting to me . I can’t see how a flexible case that can be removed with your hands could possibly crack an acrylic slab just from pressure. I could be wrong though. Are there any other cases of this happening?

I like it on my more expensive slabs.

I remember dropping some of my slabs and they got cracks at the corners/frosting on the sides.

The gradedguards help to minimise the damage.
Can’t hurt to protect the slab.

I like Graded Guard, it’s like a picture frame for my special slabs. I thought they were silly as well as Phantom displays that hold Graded Guards, but now I’m hooked. It really just does accent the piece of art that it is. Is it excessive plastic? Yes. Necessary? Absolutely not. But I like it, I don’t expect anyone to change their mind.

Sorry, I know I’ve posted a lot of these before but they’re my best examples with Graded Guards and Phantom Displays.

Why stop there? Where is your plastic sleeve for your acrylic case for your plastic case for your plastic case for your Blastoise? /s

I requested that Graded Guard make one that can go around the Phantom Display and then I can put THAT into a Lucite brick. Unfortunately, they denied my request. I can no longer become the cringelord 5000.

Do you recall that company that was advertising a few years back about how fancy their display was because it functioned with ultrathin magnets and was everything a highend collector would want? This wholr discussion made me think of them as far as utility.

We need to resurrect obnoxious TCG products. The more unnecessary, the better.

Here’s one that came free with an order

These ridges fit PSA and CGC slabs to allow stacking

I like the extra grip size and drop/scratch protection, colors can match the art, and a few cards are allowed out without worrying.

Now we’re cooking.

It’s on backwards, but personally I don’t know why there’s a plastic shield on it like a phone case. I would just like the bumper for some color.

I hope not, the back side is open. The plastic shield is how it came out of the box

Yeah they told me they wouldn’t post the picture unless it was on the “correct” way, so the plastic shield goes on the back, like a phone case.
