I recently obtained a tall stack of unpeeled Pokemon vending series sheets and one of them is the Series 3 sheet #2.
I’ve never seen one of these in person that still intact. I know plenty of collectors must have this. But it’s something special to me.
I’m conflicted, should I peel it and grade the card to tuck away in a box and pull out to grin at from time to time. Or do I keep it as is?
Or would it be possible to have it graded or preserved in some manner similar to a slabbed card.
If you would like to preseve the history and it is special to you then the best option is to also get a peeled copy, graded or otherwise. This way you can get the best of both worlds i.e. preserve the unpeeled sheet and also get a copy of the card to pull out and grin from time to time.
Welcome to the forums! These vending sheets are super special! I hope we can get to know you and also get an insight on your collection and interests. Have a great time here.
Tough one, personally I’d buy a loose Ooyama’s Pikachu along with the other cards from that sheet and frame them side by side. The vending series isn’t “rare” per-se, but unpeeled sheets are getting rarer as time goes by and more people peel them, I used to buy these from Amazon often for $9.99 before I just decided to buy the whole series unpeeled with the intention of peeling it since the price difference from buying singles or the sheets wasn’t that different… thankfully I forgot, lol, they’re still untouched.
I can’t find this Oomayas vending shit unpeeled for less than $1800.00
I’m not say it’s with that much at all. What they are asking and what it’s worth are two different things.
I let my son peel one of the other sheets and he pulled a charmander and he’s happy.
I’ve asked CGC before and they said no. I do feel like these are items that can and should be graded, though. PSA told me to send in a sheet and they would take a look, but I never got around to doing it.
