Official US Presidential Elections Thread 2016

I’m on mobile but I’ll putbin links to back this up today. I like Marco rubio and Ted Cruz better than tbe rest of tbe republicans.

Ben Carson is the guy who stabbed someone else and is trying to use that help gain notoriety. Who in the hell in their right mind thinks that’s a quality we want in a person. Okay if you stabbed a nazi in the face with your kbar maybe but a street fight as a kid? Ben Carson also believes the earth is 6000 years old despite the fact he’s a Dr and has been to school. I’m an atheist but I’d be fine with religous people (especially jewdeo-chrsitian) beleiving the earth is older and that the 7 days in tbe Bible is different than our 7 days. He also believes the pyramids were built to store grains not all those dead Egyptian royalty we always find.

Chris Christie holy shit. Theres a lot of news and reports about how the hurricane Sandy relief fund he’s in crontol of he’s using as a political funding tool. He gives money to those who’ve supported him and those who will. This countries in debt and we want a guy who stole/hinders money to peoole who need it. Theres also that bridge scandal but I don’t know much about it.

Carly Fiorina was a fucking horrible CEO.tbe company lost over half its value and she blames it on being a women challegning tbe status quo. “She’s a great CEO but its tbe board who was bad”. As president is she going to blame everyone else for when stuff doesn’t work? Regardless of how you feel about Our honorable president that guy has had a tough presidency. Republicans refuse compromise and getting things done is extremely hard. How is carky Fiorina supposed to do any better?

Donald Our honorable president. He’s fucking brilliant. He’s also the biggest fucking liar. I don’t understand amercias blind hatred for things that aren’t us or different. " fuck the french, with us the french… " most people are ignornat of the french help in the war for independence. He spats off all these hateful things and we chant “USA” in approval. These fear driven mobs stirred by a fear fueling madman. Maybe it’s me but I prefer to keep my “merica” on tbe inside, a carry from one of our mottos “silent professionals”. I consider my service an act of patriotism compared to being that dick head in a big lifted truck American flag pole in the back, stickers saying fuck Our honorable president, illegals Muslims and anyone different while driving like as asshole in traffic. America is no longer the greatest country but these asshole like the truck owner and Our honorable president act like it is or will be. Many other countries do and produce things better than US and refusal to acknowledge our own weak points will not fix them or improve us. These are the attitudes of many of whom support Our honorable president.

Donal Our honorable president is the president we deserve but not the one we need. I’d go watch the movie Idiocracy and see where this continue action will lead us.

Basically … Fuck corporations and the rich… Fuck empire… Fuck ignorance… And yeah… ANARCHY!!! I just have to master my computer science skills so I can take on all these maggots and save the free world.
But yeah I’m part of a movement here in aus but I have been out of the game for the last 4 months and I haven’t been reading my huge ass political paper, so I’m not sure what’s going on ATM and I feel like I’m under a bigger rock than Milhouse.
Come on millhouse wake your shit up. I will slap you… I didn’t know you was from AU’s xD
Hisoka there is many points you pointed out, and 1 was that presidency is tough and Our honorable president has had a crazy tough time… This is what I was saying before… He can’t do this himself and presidency is weak and near impossible to get a croid of babies to do the right thing. The capatalisitic system will never be fair if lobbying is legal. The system will never be fair if personal wealth has no limit. Chaos ensues…
I’m with fourstar and id much like to see ol burns up there than any of them thing 1 twats. Let’s hope he follows through with his plans if elected there might be some change… If you get republicans in… They will bend over for all the big guys much further forward… Many forward bending will happen.
The republicans are sick, fascist pricks and should burn. I will burn them all, I will hang them up on a hook and flick there nuts until death.
The thing 1 party is responsible for 1 million civilian deaths… They literally killed 1,000,000 innocent fucking people. You think nothing is going to come from that?? The Australian liberal party supported it and all this so one mega prick and all his buddies could profit from it. This all started from that fucking twat George bush and his mate tony Blair. I will burn things, they created the problem in the middle east, and then you got fascist pricks like Donald Our honorable president shouting out theyll be fine, they have sand… I’d like too see ol Our honorable president out in one of those sand camps.
Thing is George bush was a lapdog as well, and helped all those corporations benefit from the suffering and chaos those 1,000,000 people and that country went through.

I have to say that this is the approach towards politics for most people… A few options, with no reason why at all:

Liberal good, Labour bad.
Labour good, liberal bad.
thing 1 good, Democrats bad
Democrats good, thing 1 bad

Hmmmm… WHY?
No response.

Of course most people will go under rupertism law without even thinking because it just comes to them natrualy because thats all we heard from everyone our whole lives: The Most common train of thought for australians and they are loyal to the party for absolutely no reason at all:
Liberal good, labour bad

America most common train of thought:
thing 1 good because guns and business, thing 2 bad because of Our honorable president care.

I hate to break it you but business will not prosper… The only business that will prosper is the rich… Reagan took care and started the age of destroying the little guy along time ago, and the thing 1 party will continue to hold this tradition… there is no competition. The 6 Walmart children Hold More Wealth Than 42% of Americans Combined
BUT Our honorable president WILL SAVE US BECAUSE HIS A BUSINESS MAN!.. Wait a minute, he just popped out the right vagina and on the way out inherited a bunch of monrae.

Why… Oh god you guys are all brain washed, but I cant blame you when Rupert Murdoch ism influence effects 4.3 billion peoples lives and your right in the middle of his empire, so his influence is probably imbedded into you guys like child hood pokemon cards.

Sarcasm.

I will say that the decision on who to vote for has been reduced down to deciding who I can actually realistically see as a president at this point, which is rather depressing. Basically, who is the least of the evils?

You’ve got Donald Our honorable president on one end of the spectrum who constantly says things which convince me that he will bring about World War III if he were to be elected. I almost can’t help but think that he’s trolling just to make everyone else seem more reasonable. Then you have the handful of other thing 1 candidates that are not too far behind him.

On the thing 2 side of things, there’s a two measly candidates to choose from. Sanders has a lot of great ideas that work in a perfect utopian world. Ideally, I’d love to back him, but realistically I just don’t think he will ever have the support he needs to make it work. Hillary is basically crushing him in the polls on name recognition alone and she herself is far from what I’d consider an ideal candidate.

Maybe I should just not vote, buy a cabin in the woods, move out there with my Pokemon cards and hope for the best. Only thing that stops me from doing that is the fact that I wouldn’t be able to live with myself if we get President Our honorable president because of my inaction.

*shudder* Pls no. :slightly_frowning_face:

i dont know alot about american politics i should as i want to become an MP hear the in UK now dont shoot me down hear i would genrally like to know why is it that theres so many shooting on the news, i mean its not gangs its kids going into schools and shooting the place up, and the answer by some seems to be oh yeah if every kid had a gun they would be able to protect themselfs i dont get that logic.

and people always quote second admenment which i dont get as it was signed into law in 1789 and didnt have assult riles and granads and chain gun they had pistals that had to be reloaded after every shot.

i’ve heard some people say that its to protect themselfs from the goverment which i also dont get as most of the same people also think of there goverment as the most powerful (superpower) which if the case you having a gun isn’t going to help people

i am sorry if i come across a rude i am trying to ask you people as americans where you stand on it, its not up to me E.G foreigner to tell you how your contrays law should be passed

All I can say is right now the government in the UK - David Cameron. I’m pretty sure his head is full of potato’s.

I disagree with almost everything Sanders stands for but I’d like to make a couple points.

We also have Billionaires funding democratic campaigns i.e.; Saros, Bloomberg, etc.
I strongly dislike his health care plan. We would lose all innovation which would hurt the world. Why do you think all the worlds brightest come here to study medicine? Just look how all those who can afford to come here from Canada, Europe, etc to get specialized care sneak into the USA for the best care in the world. We have the most advanced medical system but sanders would rather we be like everywhere else. Just like he wants everybody to be the same with no motivation because he’s stomped on individual progress. Typical socialist.

The main thing that has hurt him is he rolled over like a little bitch for Hillary…almost defending her flaws. You think it’s good he plays nice with her. Everybody else knows he gave away any chance to win because of it. He doesn’t get those Democratic billionaire dollars cause those rich liberals are smart enough to know that wasting dollars on him is like kicking a dead horse,

Of course his talking points sound good to less experienced folks. I mean who wouldn’t love his free programs like free college. The problem is and listen closely, IT ISNT FREE. Nothing’s free. We will have a $21,000,000,000,000.00 (that’s 20 TRILLION) debt by the time we lose the asswipe BO bama. If sanders got in there his “freebies” could take the debt to 30-40 TRILLION and since China owns so much of that debt you guys would soon belong to China.

Now I understand that young adults, especially those who have gone through our university system, have to support people like sanders. It’s the influence on young minds. As you grow up though and have more experience to draw on it’ll all make more sense. Your focus won’t be so limited. Hopefully by that time it won’t be too late.

I didn’t mean to infer I’m aligned with Our honorable president. He’s in my top 5 but probably 3rd or so.

Well said house. Yes I agree much with you and disagree with 4star but you are both very articulate and smart. I appreciate that.

Gary you’re sorely mistaken on us healthcare. There are many Innovations and better surgeries around the world. Overall sure we have great care buts far from tbe best. Saline bags are $400 here compared to less than $12 around tbe world. Many people in the US flybto other countries to get surgeries and treatment. There is a program/study that’s being implemented showcasing how cheaper surgeries and less invasive ones yield far better results. I agree Our Our honorable president president’s health care system isn’t the best and him saying all those numbers if 10-20 million now have insurance is bullshit. Where’s that money coming from? What providers can they see? What options are limited to them? Our healthcare system needs a lot of work.

I agree on Bernie Sanders. I really like what he says but how practical is it? Many of his ideas should be implemented. I don’t mind d paying slightly higher taxes but every year tbey tax more nothing seems to change. Tbe roads stay the same, the police force is still under manned, saftey net programs and education are falling further behind other countries.

America is falling behind, being blinded by past success and current individual achievements. Many are becoming complacent and rely on outdated rhetoric and beliefs. If you don’t think coportations are getting away with buying America. That’s incredibly naive. Trickle down economics doesn’t work.

@garyis2000
If you agree with millhouse I hope you understand that everything burny puts out there has quite a small amount of what he will actually be doing in presidency. You said you disagree with what he stands for… just curious… why?

What millhouse said is completely right in that what is being said by these candidates does not make up a summary as a whole of what there going to do in presidency.

The imaginary money and the imaginary debt warps the minds of many and keeps everyone in line. If the rich didnt pay l;ess than 1% tax we could fund the education system 10,000 times over…
There is no equality at all in america, and thats not the peoples fault Its the greedy assholes who suck it all up for them selves and choose to be evil cunts. The medical system is horrible… You got a few big companies who could really help sick people but they chose to make a derivitive and focus ON MASS Market drugs which have lengthy year clinical trials, and made for mass profit. I am One of those sick people, and I will throw things at Pfizer. You think the socialist ideas are to blame, but you couldnt be anymore rong man, they have never been carried out correctly… There has never been a true socialist party that actually had a watch dog on the corperations with strong regulation and the tax come from the rich… If these politicians stopped bending over for these corps and fucking everything up and then cleaning up the mess by taking it from the little guy… then turning us against each other through the media we could solve many problem. Instead everyone has this thing inside them that tells them its bad because I dont want to pay tax and help people… And this is what Im saying it must come from rich, not the little guy… if you think Donald Our honorable president is going to help you there, you have another thing coming. His probably getting payed to just troll around there an confuse the shit out of the people. Could all be a hoax.

The Corporations own everything, and everything will be benefit them and them alone gary… Why do you support this? Do you think your business or anyone elses you know will prosper or something? I hope you don’t watch fox news.

I am a strong Hillary supporter, as family planning and and the right to choose is extremely important to me. I believe she will be an effective, if imperfect President who has the foreign policy experience Sanders lacks.

I just want to point something out here, the reality of your imagination. It’s not the worlds brightest that come to study in the US, it’s the worlds wealthiest. As has long been questioned, “what if the cure for cancer is locked inside the brain of someone who can’t afford higher education?”

Now you’re obviously an intelligent individual, but I must question if you come from a family of privilege to make these kinds of comments? Not trying to say that coming from wealth is a bad thing, just that unless you’ve been in a position of having very little money, you can’t really relate to the struggles of not having access to basic rights. Education is a basic right.

The most powerful tool in the world is education. You know the whole “give a man a fish, he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish and he eats for a lifetime”?

This is especially true for females, as studies have shown that the best way a country can grow is through education.

Now I’m not here to say that free education is the answer, but at least a model similar to that here in Australia where your education is paid upfront by the Government and you pay that back with minimal interest when you earn over a certain amount, is probably the first step in the right direction.

An example I give, what if by some incredibly unfortunate set of events your family goes broke? Would you be happy living in a country where your daughter, an intelligent and inquisitive girl, can’t go to university because she/you can’t afford it?

We have daughters around the same age mate, so I know for me it would be heartbreaking if I was ever in that position.

There is absolutely no substitute for experience, that we can both agree on.

Where we differ is I firmly believe we just can’t keep repeating history and not learn from the mistakes.

I live in a country that gives welfare out so freely that it makes it hard to justify waking up every morning, putting on my uniform and going to work knowing that a large portion of the money I earn is going to people who couldn’t be bothered even trying to find a job. Now I’m not sure if America has this problem, but that is what socialism leads to.

Not through loans in education, through just handing out money for nothing.

On the billionaire thing: yes we do. Billionaires are funding Hillary’s campaign right now. Both sides take money from special interests, but Bernie doesn’t. That’s what makes him so great.

On healthcare: the US does not have the “best care in the world.” The WHO (World Health Organization) ranked the US 37th in overall quality of care. However, the US spends the most money on healthcare per capita. Countries with publicly-funded healthcare like France (#1), Japan (#10), Switzerland (#20), and Canada (#30) all rank above the US. Objectively, socialized healthcare is a better system for the people. Not for the corporations who make billions off of your illnesses, but for the people, it’s the best. Those that “sneak into the US for care” almost always come because they are rich and have the money to pay for experienced doctors. Now there are serious issues with public healthcare, namely long waiting times for non-life-threatening issues and an excess of paperwork. But no system is perfect.

I personally find it a breath of fresh air to see candidates being respectful to each other and honest. If Bernie agrees with something Hillary says, he tells you he agrees with it. If he disagrees, he tells you he disagrees. He doesn’t purport to be Hillary’s polar opposite. If you think of that as “rolling over like a little bitch,” then maybe you’ve been following thing 1 politics for a bit too long.

On “paying for everything”: The college proposal is funded by a new tax on Wall Street, not by borrowing more money. His proposals will be funded by tax increases on the rich and on corporations that pay next to nothing in taxes currently. If Bernie got everyone to pay their fair share, all his proposals would be paid for. I agree with you though, the national debt is a major issue and we should decrease it as much as possible. But not at the expense of the poor, or economic growth for the middle class.

On Sanders supporters being young and stupid: If all you have to discredit me is my age and “experience,” then I’ll consider that a win.

Those poor people who have like 400 a fortnight on the doll are not the problem man… They make up nothing spent in the total budget, if the work place was a welcoming one im sure theyd have a go… But from what I have seen everyones a cunt in the workforce. All the bosses are fucking sociopaths, and explot and treat you like shit. Too single out poor people like that is the common bullshit media hype that is in australia every single day. They should tax the rich to support that tiny 1% of the budget and stop complaining and turning everyone against each other… I new this one was gonna come up, i was just waiting lol… didnt expect it to come from you… That is not what socialism is about by the way. They have spent 50 Billion alone in the last 10 years lobying and campagn to get rid of the doll alone, and you wanna point the finger at the poor people… That could have supported them 10 times over alone. You want to jump in line like everyone else that’s fine, but other people dont like to be controlled and arnt as fortunate or as skilled like yourself. Neither do I, thats why Im a cleaner… Fuckin hate authority.
You work hard, and what do you get? A kick in the face, but dont be so quik to point the finger at the even less fortunate, thats what rupert murdoch wants.

I dont give a fuck if i get taxed 0…0000000000000000000000000000000000000001 cents to help out my fellow humanbeings. Yet these rich pricks just won’t budge. Its not enough for gina rineheart to make 1 million dollars every half hour, she wants to make 2 million, and so lets go to war for people similar to her and bomb 1,000,000 innocent civilians. Why dont they give back to the economy… Lets blame the poor, its there fault i have to go to work… they should have got a job… because its like really easy and all to get a job that doesnt absolutely suck, and make you want to kill your self.

Our system has degraded into a two party population contest run by media outlets.

Granted a lot of that is being challenged as of late. So at least there’s that.

Plus both sides have their issues.
