I think I might message Pokesoup and suggest that he shouldn’t use trainertony’s services anymore. I don’t think he should be paying someone like this, and more so promoting them. Or maybe someone else with an actual reputation should, I’m a nobody.

Sorry, but this is just stupid. Not only is that not your place, but this witch hunt is insane. So the guy wanted to get a base 2 box (that was plenty beat up, mind you) for a lower price and acted like an angry child. I am not saying OP tossed him around nor gave him false hopes, but his message was really not all that awful and we don’t know, nor does it really matter what lead up to it. How about everyone just takes a deep breath, maybe gets a *little* thicker skin and stops attacking someone because he is somewhat known on youtube. These types of messages happen many times a day, its really not “offensive” in anyway.

In terms of this, he wasn’t offering $660, he was asking if you expected $60 more for the damaged box than the mint one that sold at auction.

And no, I don’t really care for his videos nor am I him. I just think this whole thread bashing some guy just because of who he is and 2! messages.

Think best if I provide the entire chat log here.

I listed this base set 2 booster box for sale with a buy it now price of $680.

This individual sent me offer for $500 which I declined because I had higher offers previous to his offer and other people showing interest
along with 9 watchers. Also considering all previous boxes sold for $680+ and this one was the cheapest one listed

higher offers:

He then sent me his first message:

My reply was simply No Thanks.

At the mean time, I also had another box up for “auction” instead of Buy it Now, and it was at around $600.

Prior to that auction ending, I did not reply/message with him nor did I do anything with the offers on my first base set 2 box listing.

This individual then sent me this message (His 2nd message) the day the auction was going to end. I replied “Hi, I’ll wait until the other one to sell to take any offers”

The auction ended and he sent me an offer of $500 and I decline.

This is the final message I received from him. I replied to him accordingly and blocked him afterwards (I only found out there was a block option while creating this thread)

After 2 days of waiting. I changed the listing to $650 buy it now without best offers, and the box immediately sold for $650.

For this entire situation, I find his last message to me very hateful and the part “I hope…” very unnecessary, however that is my own opinion. I wanted to find a way where I can stop him from messaging me

You forgot the part where trainertony said he hoped OP’s other box would be returned and they’d get $0 from the transaction. That’s not something you should just go around telling sellers lol. That will clearly lead you on a one way trip to people’s block lists.

This is getting a bit out of hand :stuck_out_tongue: I only wanted to eliminate him because I like adding movie references where possible ^.^
He is on the OP’s block list and all sorted now

Why cant we all just get alongggggggggggggg

Did I ever say anything nasty about trainertony? Did I say I wanted Pokesoup to make a video exposing him or something? No, I didn’t. But I don’t feel ok with someone like Pokesoup promoting someone who has shown increasing negative behavior. I probably won’t go through with it anyway.
But I do agree with you, we shouldn’t be witch hunting the guy. I think it’s fine to show someone’s negative behavior and discuss it, but going our and attacking the guy would be too far. In fact, that’s going too far for almost any situation.

UPDATE:
Why is he even able to send me messages? I thought Block prevents all communication

You have to change the settings in your eBay profile. I believe it’s under account-seller preferences-then under the section that chooses who can bid on your items there’s a check box that doesn’t allow them to contact you.

Lol “$150-$200”

The dude is just trying to make you feel bad, that card barely hits over $100. Man he is one salty Mofo

Call eBay, ask them what’s going on.

just called them and they say there must be some technical problem.
They went through all the messages this person has sent me the ebay rep filed a harassment report on this person. Glad I remained professional throughout all my messages.

Joe, why are you defending this person? You are a very ethical guy. This dude is extremely rude and unprofessional.
