Ah I got it now lol
Same for me. Itās a high end Japanese promo card as well.
The process frankly is very inefficient. You need to ship your card in (that takes 2-3 days) and then they need to process it (take pics, verify authenticity and what not), which can take up to a week. Then they schedule it for an auction, which can take another 3-5 days. Then the auction itself is 10 days. After that, the buyer has another 2 or 3 weeks to pay, if they pay at all. Then they schedule a payday that seems to be another 2 weeks. It is incredibly lengthy and inefficient. If it does unpaid, then rinse and repeat. If you ever get paid, you may be celebrating your next birthday!
In contrast, I can list something on eBay for auction in a day for a 5 day cycle, and then relist if say payment does not happen within 2 days (7 days total). For the same deal, I can run this process 5 times.
The supposed value prop for PWCC is they are the experts at selling high value cards and have a qaulified network of high-end buyers. Not sure that is the case, given the comments here, complicated further by the lengthy process that comes with it.
The one card that they did sell, I could have gotten more and quicker payout if I sold it myself on eBay,
Now I know better.
Until I run for PokĆ©mon President and banish all non-paying buyers to an island, there isnāt a promise land where they donāt exist. As stated earlier, my ratios so far are better on pwcc for unpaid. Sure they allow longer timeframes to pay, but all of the other issues exist on eBay, plus you do the work. That is really the main perk PWCC or any non eBay platform is offering, you donāt have to process the items.
My favorite card on PWCC is a Ho-Oh BGS 10 (German). The same card was listed about 6 or 7 times (!). It was āsoldā again some days ago: https://sales-history.pwccmarketplace.com/items/WEEKLY3979580
I think it is fair that HA and Goldin ask for more information when you want to sign up, especially when you bid on high-value items (PWCC also asks for more information when you want to bid on premier auctions, not the normal ones). A nice side-effect for buyers is that those companies deliberately limit their target group, resulting in lower prices (sometimes).
Exactly this, it does take it longer but honestly, me not having to do the work plus the hammer price bonus is worth it to me. I guess if someone wants payment faster, you got to do the work, haggle with people and the latter in groups or another platform. I honestly enjoy PWCC selling my mass lots and wash my hands of it for the most part. Good thing, someone didnt see that I wrote at least they dont have us wait to 2 weeks now after the sale once its paid.
