I like everything about this card except for Pikachu’s angry face. Looks like it’s leaning over a shop counter demanding to speak to the manager.
I posted that on Ludkins’ Instagram post about the card earlier and got a reply saying it’s the Pikaren Promo, and that is what it’ll forever be in my mind.
It’d be really cool to see more cards in this style. Imagine a whole Pokédex worth of Pokémon illustrated like this.

I saw this on social media and thought it was a fan art. Definitely an unique illustration.
You can prob just buy off eBay like illustration Charizard or Kanazawa pikachu. The box is more limited but there are no cards inside.

Really excited for this one! Like several others have said, I hope the price when they hit eBay in the US isn’t too outrageous. I’ve heard a lot of people say they dislike the look because of the amount of white space in the background (which I think is fair), but I’m honestly just a big fan of anything super different / “out there” so I’ll have to add a few to my promo binder.
There are some cheeky Japanese sellers making preorders available at ca. £50/card right now, but I wouldn’t panic and certainly wouldn’t buy at that price. The cards are available for free with purchases of the equivalent of £10 / $14; I’d make a confident guess that the supply isn’t small. Let them flood into the market and see where the price stabilises. For further reassurance look at the Illustrator Charizard - still readily available at non-extortionate prices. That all said, if you buy your cards at a price you’re personally happy with that’s the main thing.

Absolutely love the look of the card. It’s clean and simple. It’s something that’ll appeal to people because it’s something out of the ordinary.

Havent bought much in a while but this has picked my interest! Definable grabbing a box. I think its beautiful and will look great in a display.
The latest issue of Men’s Non-no (a Japanese fashion magazine) features an article about the card, and a sticker sheet.

Unpopular opinion. I think the card is ugly. It’s a shame they were limited by the electricity type because silver or white would have worked so much better.

Actually the card would look even more iconic if it’s entirely black and white. That’s a card that I would send to BGS until I get a Black Label. Such beautiful combination.
