Even if the work is unappealing to me, I’d rather have stylized art than sterile computer graphics. UNLESS it’s angular low-polygon 90s computer graphics from the gen 1 sets. Maybe because they’re so early on? IDK why it feels good.

from where do you think the Charmander AR Promo from the Obsidian Flames ETB will come from in Japan?? is not in Ruler of the Black flame right?
I think it’s the SV3 promo that was supposed to be releasing during the World Championships 2023 in Yokohama but they announced it was cancelled.

I too am wondering if this is going to be a set card on the Japanese side, or what?
they could always put it in the holiday set, although we assume the holiday set will focus on shinies and not special arts
All 12 Art Rare slots are occupied, so the next thing to rely on is the High Class Pack (Shiny Treasure) when they reprint cards with special artworks. AR Charmander is the same Charmander from SV3

I agree. It’s a lackluster illustration of an already lackluster pokemon, but the empty space around is so off-putting, It’s kinda tolerable in a normal card frame.
You have a point. It might as well be a c/uc card. Such underwhelming artwork.
