Because it’s Going Nowhere
Cgc seem to be making a massive power move. They’ve got influencers onboard and big cards seem to be appearing all over the place. This took planning certainly not something that was put together overnight.
It is, but the poster blacked out the cert
Backwards logic. If I’d expect errors like this at any point it would be now when they are being flooded with relabel submissions. Because you can at least understand. It’s the errors that happen years later where you’re like “yeah someone was screwing around at work”.
I think cgc should fall on their sword for this mistake it’s unforgivable. Going quietly into the night is the best option for them moving forward.
BREAKING NEWS
Due to the recent study of micro plastics in the world’s oceans and the finding that cgc slabs make up over 50 percent due to the vast quantities being cracked cgc will now be adding PLEASE RECYCLE to all labels from this point forwards. As a side note the pop report will be adjusted 97 percent downwards to reflect the changes shortly we thank you for your patience and understanding.
If only they used a D instead of G
With such a shambles of a company I thought it might have been their version of a psa good with good nough.
Havent had that good of a laugh in a while. Thanks
For real, I don’t know how anyone can look at that and not immediately think “good night”
Bgs are the most lenient grader out there you don’t need to see notes lol.
Not for 9.5 and above. 9 and under yes
I bet you could cross more cgcs over to bgs than the other way around at the 9 mint and 9.5 gem mint level.
Maybe but at the end of the day I would rather have a 9.5 or 10 from bgs than a cgc card
I’d only rather the black label otherwise I’d take the cgc equivalent.
The bgs 10 gold label does not command a premium on cgc 10s or psa 10s for the most part. Not like it used to. Black label obviously different story
Most likely scenario would be that they graded the corners slightly worse to where if there was subgrades it would get an 8.5 making it impossible for the card to get above a 9. I have crossed multiple cards from BGS to CGC where CGC was .5 lower on corners but then like .5 higher on edges.
Corners are probably the worst thing to have at a 9 if trying to cross to CGC. Surface grades are usually pretty consistent.
