It would be very, very difficult for me to root against LeBron if it is Rockets vs. Cavs. I too, have always been a fan of him, and have gotten soooo much shit for it because Kobe is my guy. They have not been relevant in the same generation, as far as I am concerned. So Bron Bron was there for me to fall back on when Kobe got out of the game.
But I have hated the Warriors since the moment they became relevant again. Steph, Draymond (although you have to love the chip he plays with every night) KD, hate em all. Klay is my guy though, especially since he might be wearing a purple and gold jersey next year ;p.
Needless to say, the Cavs winning in 2016, especially in an epic comeback and with all the drama tied to it with Bron winning a title for Cleveland and the supposed disfunction between Kevin Love, also one of my favorite players, and LeBron (but who was the first person LeBron hugged when they won? Love.). Needless to say, that was one of my favorite NBA moments ever. Lakers three-peat with Shaq and Kobe, and Kobe winning his first title without Shaq are just ahead of it, though .
I cannot stand the warriors either. KD after going there was done to me in my book and heās develop such a shitty attitude in golden state. I almost hope they do make it to see LeBron and the cavs beat them one more time. Although I do respect curry never seen such a streaky shooter before
You have to respect KD for going to Golden State, especially if you had LeBronās back for going to Miami (I did). Those two moves were very similar, except for one thing - Bron Bron left a terrible team that was never going to get him anywhere. Whereas KD, he left a team with arguably a top 5 player in the league on its roster (Rus) to speed up the āwinningā process in Golden State, where they already had a forumla for winning on the biggest stage. I personally think that this is coming back to bite KD, because it seems like the Warriors have fallen in love with his unmatchable ISO ball, being he is 6ā11 and can play anything from the 1 to the 5. And thatās what led to their demise tonight.
Now you gotta beat CP3 and The Beard in a best of 3 series with 2 games in their house?
Actually we have a very good āclueā lol. I ran casinos for 20 years. The object of a point spread is to accumulate an equal amount of āactionā on both sides. The casinos profit then would be derived from the vigorish held back out of the winners return.
1,100,000.00 Million bet on Celtics
1,100,000.00 Million bet on Cavs
Total Bet 2,200,000.00
Winning side gets 1,100,000.00 + 1,000,000.00 (11to10) = 2,100,000.00
Casino profit: $100,000.00
You see, it didnāt matter which side won as long as their number was correct enough to attract equal action.
Casinos donāt gamble. They simply supply a platform where the players can,
They need to do away with the whole max contract garbage in the NBA. I never understood it and it is the only reason these superteams exist. If Lebron was making the $50M he was worth there is no way teams could afford to put enough talent around him. Sure some guys would still take paycuts and even Lebron may himself but the problem would be a lot less worse than it is now.
Donāt think itās as crazy as people are saying. Lebron is the goat, no doubt about it. If heās on any team in the east then heās going to the finals. Warriors went to game 7 and would have been a nail biter with CP3. The tides definitely shifting to more teams being able to compete, as you see with boston and philly in the east
Also, its a #2 team in the west VS #4 in the east. Just saying
Interesting point. But wouldnāt you think an owner who could pay James 50 Million might be able to afford paying a good supporting cast (ie: Steve Ballmer has almost 40 billion dollars)?
If they lifted the cap, salaries would go up along with the cost of tickets, merchandise et all.
Whoever put the most money in would still win. Under the current system the Cavs and Warriors, ARE the highest paid teams and in the finals.
It seems nothing would change as far as the result, and it could get worse?
So to review, if you lift the cap hereās what would happen:
The players would make MORE money.
The owners would make the same.
The fans would get screwed even worse.
