Everyone has their own tastes and opinions. So today I’m just asking what one card out there appeals you you the most?
There might be a story behind it, there might not be.
For me the most appealing card for some reason is the japanese base set machamp. Absolutely love that card, the artwork and holo just stands out to me more than any other card. It’s almost got me thinking about starting a machamp collection just because of this card haha.
Anyway look forward to hearing people’s thoughts and opinions. Interested to see what stands out to everyone else here.
So many good reasons mate!
Blastoise has always been up the top of my favourites!
To see such a card would be a treat!
Good to see someone put so much thought and meaning Into a card. It’s so much more than just collecting!
Haven’t got one favourite, I LOVE the base set, in particular the shadowless and even more 1st edition cards. Even the commons and uncommons have got that magical feel
It’s rare to find a decent trainer card that has flare and awesome artwork, This card encompasses both those characteristics and therefore the most appealing card to me.
immensely rare, almost one of a kind…that most people wouldn’t be able to own.
have an immensely aesthetic and pleasing artwork
Be Bad-ass…
I don’t know if I have something that ticks all the boxes yet… card wise… but I have something pokemon based… there is only 2 graded globally and I own 1, but I don’t want to show yet
I think for me personally it’s the ex Team Rocket Returns gold stars. I feel like gold stars were great ultra rares. The Pokemon was shiny, and the card wasn’t horribly over designed. Almost just a really nice holo card. The TRR ones stand out for me in particular, as the card choice deviated away from you typical legendary Pokemon you’d usually see as ultra rares. It was a lot more reminiscent of the games, where any random Pokemon could be shiny, regardless of rarity. That, and Mudkip is a major qt.
I have to say a tie… between Base set Charizard and McDonald’s sunset Mew.
The Mew is just beautiful. One of the best card artworks of all time and best illustration of Mew (IMO). It also has that same incredibly elusive feel like Mew in the video games, since it was never released in other countries and was very limited time promo.
The Charizard represents the start of the entire Pokemon series to me. I think it also appeals to Pokemon fans of all generations. It was the first “big deal” pokemon card and everybody wanted it or still does.
