Misprint? World Collection Flying Pikachu

I’m new to this forum. A friend suggested I’d post about this card here since I couldn’t find anything about it online. The card I’m talking about is number 25 of the World Collection, Fliegendes Pikachu. The gold tail print on the left hand side of the card is not completely filled in. When against the light you can see the indentation of where the foil should be sitting but is instead missing. I also do not know how to upload images here so please let me know how to go about showing the card. Thanks.

There’s several ways to post a picture, but the method I always use is Google drive. You send your picture to Google drive, once it’s downloaded there it receives a url. You then go to the options for that picture and turn on the link sharing option. Then just copy and paste the link into the text. I know android phones come with drive but on another devices you may have to download it. Imgur is an option too. You can also post pictures directly to a post without having to do a link but I’m not sure how myself haha. I hope this helps and that you get your answer!

Does it look like this one?

Or it only has the imprint without any gold for the tail stamp?

Yes it looks similar to that! Here two links to what mine looks like:

How would I go about valueing a card like this?

I don’t think there’s any long term value but if you put it on eBay today you could get a some interest from a misprint collector? We have some herein e4 but wouldn’t expect much interest on a missing stamp, especially partial.

Hard to say. As mentioned by @garyis2000, only misprint or Pikachu collectors would be interested in it.

There is however one small problem which I also had when I bought the Base Set Pikachu from the Pikachu World Collection 2000 above: is it truly a legit misprint. With some Yu-Gi-Oh cards for example, I’ve seen loads of cards where people used aceton to clear a certain part of the card to make it look like a misprint. Something similar can most likely be done pretty easily with the stamp.

Having said that, I didn’t regret buying the copy I have. And if you are looking to sell the Fliegendes Pikachu misprint, I also wouldn’t mind buying it for my Pikachu collection. Feel free to PM me if you are looking to sell it and have a price in mind.
