has there ever been a runner-up where their art is featured in cards (or play mats, sleeves, etc) at a later time? always thought it was a shame this was never turned into a card. we’ve seen newer, brighter, cards from mashu (like that AR bulbasaur), but never quite as colorful as this. just imaging only the water being the holo part of the card.

This would look insane with a terrastal border, or pockets rainbow border.
In regards to 2nd place winners and below, I dont believe anything happens with them, but I do think I enjoy some artstyles more than others and wish that they all could have a good chance to make something.

This artist has made several cards since. Would be nice to see management circle back to cards if they’re already contracted to work.
