Megaa Forum (Grrrr)

Mega’s has become a sort of another evolution for our favourite pokemon since gen 6 (until gen 7 anime said some bigger things about mega’s :frowning: ) . Anyway we still admire mega evolutions and love most of them. So here is a tier list of my favourtie mega evolutions. As @Quuador is doing in my forms this time i also ranked them horizontally in each tier like the best at top of tier to last belonging in that tier in bottom of that tier. So let’s mega evolve your tiers

Here’s is the link:

This is probably where I’d rank them all with the exception of moving the Charizards to B and Beedrill to A

I just realized the categories are different on mine but I ranked them from A-F.

I would really only use or collect the Megas in S or A

Ok though here me out, Mega Lopunny is actually really good design. First, it actually looks like a proper evolution.

The problem with most megas is that they are overdesigned. Too many knobs, bits, colours, phalanges, etc. Tyranitar and Steelix are good bad examples. And/or they just become ridiculous and hard to take seriously like Garchomp or Sharpedo.
Just imagine the silhouette of each mega and you can see why the design often falls short.

Lopunny has a subtle upgrade in design in comparison. It looks tougher and more aerodynamic. The new typing (Normal/Fighting) makes sense.

The design also incorporates ridiculousness in a subtle way. Clearly it’s a reference to the 1980s workout aesthetic.

You got the arm and leg warmers and tights. Fortunately they opted to keep the colours simple though!!! The large bow and scrunchie look is also included!!!

So subtle, so cleanly incorporated, iconic silhouette, logical upgrade, 10/10 design.

Each row is ordered again.

Unlike Gigantamax/Dynamax Pokémon, I think most designs aren’t too bad. Sure, a lot of them are over the top and I’d rather see the original non-Mega Pokémon, like the ones I’ve placed in ‘Slight step down in aesthetic’ (or lower…), but some of them are pretty good imho.

PS: I’ve also added the Ash-Greninja, although it’s a Bond-Pokémon instead of Mega Pokémon. :person_shrugging:

I really like Megas, they are I think the best gimmick that Pokemon has come up with. However, most of them are absolute trash. There are some amazing ones, but it sure seems that a majority are bottom of the barrel.

Ash-Greninja is essentially a Mega as well, so I’d put it in S if that was an option.

Nothing is ordered inside the rows. Just random where I grabbed them.

It’s either M Rayquaza or not M Rayquaza. Case Closed.

I had to take a grading curve approach because a lot of them are very ugly but they can’t all be in the bottom tier. I used to really love Megas but now I’m kind of lukewarm. Except rayquaza.
