Looking over my cards and adding them to collection tracker at Pokellector I didn’t recognize the Black and White Pokeball symbol.
In my quick research I came across the following link;
and I’m wondering,
am I able to send any of my cards into the address and still receive these items (I know it’s been a long time but again I’m new this current pokemon trading card game era and figured it doesn’t hurt to ask)
Understood,
Just out of my own curiosity, would you happen to know of any articles that speak about these cards? the inspiration behind them, the lore, etc.? (if in Japanese I’ll run them through Google translate)
“With the release of Series 3 the “Evolution by Mail Campaign” was launched, inspired by trade evolution in the Pokémon games. In order to acquire the fully evolved versions of Kadabra, Machoke, Graveler, Haunter, and Omanyte, people had to send one of these cards along with the Pass Card Bill’s PC to MediaFactory before April 1999. In return they received the evolved version of the card they sent, each of them a holographic promotional card. These cards are often sought after by collectors due to the method in which the cards were originally distributed. Similarly to the WHF preview sheet, they are also often regarded as unofficial additions to the Vending Machine collection.”
very interesting.
I didn’t realize when I’d got these as a kid they were meant to be sent in for their evolved forms.
Any site that specializes on coverages of American or Japanese promo releases?
Adding it to my resource list.
Thank you very much for the links.
and ok, I’ll tackle that Unnumbered Promo Cards article this weekend.
I appreciate the helpful response
