Looking for info on grading sealed packs. PSA

Hey everyone, i’m looking for some info on what PSA looks for to grade sealed packs 10s. I have an understanding what their “guidelines” are when it comes to cards but i’m completely lost when it comes to packs. My goal is to get one of each generations art work graded psa 10. Is it just the art work on the front or do the sealed edges, corners ect have a factor as well? Any info would be appreciated!

There is one person who grades packs and honestly he can be a little generous.
Look at the surfaces. Are they scuff free?
Look at the closures. Are they intact and centered (not slanted)?
Look at the flap. Do the imprints look consistent?
If you can say yes to all 3 above then you have a very good shot at a 9 or 10:)

He must be generous if he’s giving out 9/10 when I say yes to scuffs on the packs.

Have you graded packs through BGS Gary? After your generous comment I’m curious to hear if you have an opinion on the two services for pack grading.

Corrected lol.

I haven’t graded packs through BGS.

Does the same rule for what cards will be graded, apply to packs?

In the very old boxes I am sure you know often times the packs other than the top ones will have a bit of an imprint of the sealed flap from the pack above it. Does that hurt the packs chances at grading a 10? I would think it would, but can’t be sure.

I’ll post my psa10 packs and my PSA 9 packs tomorrow.
