Hello everyone, i just opened a gym heroes booster box and i am looking at getting some of the non holo packs graded. Are there any specifics i should look for? I have never graded packs before so this is a new area for me. Whats looked at to consider a pack a 9 or a 10. Do they just look at the front artwork or is the whole pack looked at? Any info is appreciated, thanks!
I personally would not grade packs with PSA until they step their game up. The cases look massively clunky, the folding is crippling to the actual condition of the pack, and it looks like shit. Additionally, that resealed pack we saw here that was authenticated doesn’t make me feel great either.
I don’t actually know what their standards are though. It seems like every pack just randomly gets either a 9 or a 10. Do they have the standards listed on their site?

I know it’s not the advice you’re looking for, but I would also double down on the “don’t grade packs” advice. The authentication is meaningless at this point in time, the packs are routinely damaged as the holders they are placed in are not designed for them, and PSA has proven they will not honor the insurance on them if they damage the packs.

I say keep them safe and perhaps an actual case will be produced for Pokemon packs eventually. Unless you just want to flip them fast to recoup some of the box cost, then send your nicest ones to PSA. You’ll surely get a few 10s if they’re box fresh and look mint.
Oh really damn, i was just going to grade them because ive seen them go for the $50-80 range, thats a lot more than a ungraded weighed pack. Maybe ill just hold onto them or just send in the 4 best instead of all of them, thanks for the advice.
