Looking for cards with specific backgrounds

Hi! I’ve never posted here before but I need some help. I’m looking for cards with backgrounds like these! I’ve gone through the artists (good ol Ken Sugimori and Mitsuhiro Arita) and their cards and started a list from those two of cards I have / don’t have. I was wondering if there are any others with these kind of backgrounds that aren’t by them, or if there’s other artists who do the same type of thing. Any pokemon / set / price is fair game. I’d really appreciate the help! (: <3

was looking through my binder to see what cards felt similar in vibe, here’s what i found:

Eevee Black Star WOTC Promo, Pichu from Neo Genesis (i have the japanese one which is a lot cheaper), both some of my favorite cards.

Also thought you might like these japanese promo starters, forgot the exact promotion but the numbers are 001-003/019

also maybe mew bw98 promo

These always come to mind immediately based off of the first few you posted. Sorry if they’re not what you were looking for, I just like them a lot for background purposes.

Sadly there is no Sylveon that matches the background choice here

It would help if you described what you were looking for (looking for simple-ish backgrounds in general or specifically simple, dot-like backgrounds? Or something else entirely)

these are what i’ve found so far in the bulk i have. they don’t have to necessarily be “simple”, they can be patterned or anything like that. i guess what i’m looking for are backgrounds that don’t show the pokemon in a specific setting.

i have both the eevee and the pichu, but they go in my pika pages & eeveelution pages. however, those starter promos i do not think i own! thank you!

Here are just a couple more off the top of my head, but there should be a ton of cards that fit that criteria, so lots of binder pages to fill!

Glad someone appreciates these. Its going to as you say, usually be Ken Sugimori cards. pretty much thats the bulk of them. Abstract backgrounds are his art on stock art.

Hmm, you could check to see if maybe @tomokazu-komiya ‹ PkmnCards Komiya art fits what you are looking for? The more recent arts have become more and more abstract. I linked it presorted for you so the recent cards are at the top. Shinji Kanda Has abstract stuff.
