I have to admit that was a really entertaining video. Great editing and loved how he simplified the information for non-buyers. Personal opinions of the guy aside. I can see why people would like him and his content.
is he trying to immediately sell this thing for almost double what he paid? I paid $2500 for one pack from pokerev.
As @gemmintpokemon, said, who in the hobby is going to pay for that? I imagine other content creators will pay for it
to get the additional exposure and celebrities.
considering what heâs said and done. Would anyone put it past him to try to manipulate card value. I imagine him selling charizard for $25k and saying that was a move that he might do because he has more cards from 1st ed base that would grow from this exposure. Logal Paul has a very large reach.
Yeah If anyone on here opened a box and sold for $11k a pack they would be crucified. I remember pokerev getting a lot of hate in the comments for $2500 a pack. But Iâm sure one day 11k will be cheap. It is what it is Looking forward to seeing another piece of history opened
Honestly, itâs a bit disappointing that the box appears to have basically been bought with the intention of profiting. Like, heâs making ~170k if he sells the 35 packs. I thought he was buying it to open for himself, not to make a quick $170k.
Besides that, though, the video wasnât too bad. EX TMTA packs made a surprise cameo at 3:12, which was cool haha.
Doesnât hurt the hobby, great video. Hyping a box like this is fair! And as I understand he will give proceeds to charity, thus these prices are a bit inflated.
Where does it say the proceeds are going to charity? He didnât mention that in the video and it doesnât say anything about that on the website he linkedâŠ
Me neither but I worry about the effect it has on some of his young impressionable viewerbase. I mean the parents let their middle schoolers watch it so you canât really do anything about it but I think it can be harmful for a lot of kids to see the lifestyle where all that is seemingly valued is money, excess, designer clothes, fancy cars, big houses, and material things. I know some kids whoâve gotten into the Pauls and other big youtubers and I just think it is generally negative for them to see with no context. Maybe at 30 Iâm just too old to get it.
I guess there are a lot of adults out there and many that I work with that still have high school mentality and worship rich people solely for the fact that they are rich while ironically impoverishing themselves trying to imitate it. Itâs just mostly sad IMO.
I thought Teraz was referring to Collectibles Guru, not Logan Paul? Iâm pretty sure Logan Paul didnât come onto this forum and trash collectors lol.
I think Terazâs first line is also referring to Collectibles Guru, though. The start of the second paragraph makes it clear that it is: âI canât stand him,â which refers back to the first line. Maybe Iâm misunderstanding, though.
Besides the collectibles guru, this was a great and fun video. Totally a net positive for the community and anyone who says otherwise is being bitter. Facts!
He is directly talking about an attitude which is continued on. Whose specific attitude it was wasnât relevant to my post. It was just my unneeded thoughts and opinion on it lol.
Havenât met the guy but if itâs all for charity thatâs cool with me. I just donât like when folks throw out random big numbers for what cards will be worth or what theyâre worth without actual facts to back it up. Not necessarily specific to this video but just in general.
Looovveed the video just not sure if people will pay 11k per pack and be able to sell 35 more packs by next weekend. But who knows as 11k is nothing to these YouTube millionaires.
Where does it say the profits are going to charity? I canât find any source for it but multiple people on this thread have stated it. He didnât mention it in the video and it mentions nothing about charity on the website.
