Watched it 5 times now. Incredibly positive energy from the entire transaction. Said it once, but man Gary, when you told him you cared more about how he felt in that moment when you sold it, after meeting him and bonding over Pokémon cards, wow. For all of our friends and family members that will never understand, I mean, that moment and that connection, that’s what this is all about.

i personally had mixed feelings about logan before this video, now i certantly see him more like a grown child rather than an investor trying to inflate the prices. really emotional bit and great deed by King pokemon himself, awesome watch.

Dang I don’t even like Logan Paul but I was rooting that Gary would sell him one. There’s so much attachment tied up to those cards and you can really feel it in the video, but shit, he has such an insane collection and the BGS’s that it’s not like anything is ever touching that anyway.

Just readjust your goals. Pivoting has been so much fun for me over the past 3 years. You literally have the ability to set new trends, show off new stuff other collectors may have not been put on to yet, and get things at great prices before they skyrocket.

Some people have been saying that Gary got pressured into selling LP his zard and I keep laughing at them. 1. I think its awesome he is helping with the charity, but 2. Hes Gary… King Pokemon… The Keeper of Dragons… Big G… You think he’s going to get pressured into anything? Gary is a living legend and everything he does continues to cement his legendary status. Thanks so much for all you do for the hobby King Pokemon!

Another public figure makes a news worthy and highly publicized Pokemon purchase. I’m sure it stung a little bit for Gary to sell of one of his prized Charizard’s, but $150K is a nice chunk of change and it helped to grow the hobby. Congrats!

I will never forget when I was kinda low balling on these forums too in 2017? and Gary just took my prices as-is and sold me a few cards below market, including a 1st base dragonair for $400 and I think psa 10 1st shadowless machamp for $800 way back in 2017. At the time I vividly recall thinking wait a minute he could easily get 20-70% more for this. Super appreciated it at the time and his kindness left a real impact on me. Stuck around and went on and off these forum being triggered by people occasionally but 100% Gary has always been kind, humble and a gentleman on these forums despite his immense knowledge and collection.
Wanted to complete my wotc set and always thought I would convince Gary someday but after this I think - Gary you gotta keep what zards you have left and never sell! You have sacrificed enough of your babies for the good of the hobby. I’mma get my zard elsewhere

Lol exactly. If anything, he was able to make his entire collection go up, just by selling one card, to the right person, at the right time, in front of a camera. So sacrifice one for 150k and now all the others are worth 200k+ Checkmate!
I’m sure that is not why he did it at all though.

Thank you Gary like others Gary has been very kind to me and I was honored to be able to buy some cards from him directly. Very happy to have them in my personal and permanent collection.
Always appreciate how he always makes time to reply to everyone even if it takes a day or two incredibly selfless and that’s why he will always be King Pokemon!
