Longtime lurker + collector that finally signed up after all of the recent PokeDrama lately.

I just wanted to commend both Logan and Gary on this video – it’s cool to see how, somewhat surprisingly, respectful Logan has been towards both the hobby and important figures within it like Gary. This was a really nice collab between two unlikely friends, and actions like these may prevent the pokeworld from reacting the way the sports card world did to Gary V. The sentiment around here for Logan has been mostly positive but somewhat mixed; the sentiment in the sports card world to its biggest voice (Gary V) has been vastly more negative. Gary V admitted to lurking on collector forums (which actively discuss their dislike towards him) without ever interacting on/with the forum and pumping card as investments in classic Gary V fashion.

Has Logan bordered on some dangerous tones when exaggerating values / “investment opportunity”? Absolutely. But he’s expressed some genuine love and joy around the collecting aspect, and dedicating an entire video to a figure in the hobby is a good start towards actual positive back-and-forth hobby engagement.

Just my .02. Excited to see what’s to come.

We are talking tons of attention, very public sale. The rush is real. I would not be surprised if psa 10 goes for 200k next.

Tricky word to use, it’s making it more popular and mainstream. That it’s excellent for some and not so good for others but there’s no denying that things are changing drastically either people likes it or not.

Usually reading the forum one makes an idea about Gary but once you see him in vids, talking and such you get like a whole new idea of him (a good one indeed).

Making pokemon more mainstream and popular is helping the hobby imo. I cant really think of a negative.

As you said “imo”, this kind of exposure brings all kind of people and opinions.

The two minutes starting here (link contains time stamp) are very reassuring to anyone who had feared he was trying to artificially hype prices with the box break. It’s abundantly clear the passion is real and his views are not aligned with the “expert” he had opened the box with.

Or more of what he loved as a kid? 1st Ed., Shadowless and Base? Can you ever have to many Charizards?

I’d be fine with it. I built my position within Japanese more than anything else this year. I’ve been able to find mint holos all year for <$10

I even found some mint Japanese Neo Destiny (Darkness, and to Light) at a flea market for $3-5 this summer. Pretty sure the dude priced them years ago. Ungraded raw Japanese are stupid low prices right now, not only because PSA10 copies go for over $100, but because even $100 for a PSA 10 is undervalued.

I’d also like to show appreciation to Gary, as he also helped me with my collection goal over the last couple of years.
Not sure how to say it but, it makes me happy to be here when we have people like Gary representing the community.

If I was Gary I wouldn’t feel comfortable having millions of people see the outside of my house. Then show those same millions of people that I store my 7 first edition Charizards and 2 BGS 10 first edition Charizrds in the cupboard above my fridge. Not to mention the millions of dollars in cards sitting in boxes in your living room. @kingpokemon get a safety deposit box and good security and get those cards out of your house. I worry about you after that video, you are too trusting and let Logan show a lot. I have been robbed, it’s not fun and you always feel stupid after.
