So I’m a little unsure whether this topic is appropriate for this thread or whether it should go in the everything else category (a moderator may feel free to move this if that’s the case and I apologise in advance if I have misplaced this) but a question for any foreigner who lives in Japan - How is it living there and are you living there on a visa? I’m looking into going to Japan after I finish school this year in November and have planned to look into taking a year to live there also but am unsure how to go about it aside from the obvious work visa and going down the route of English tutoring. I suppose this could be more appropriate after I’ve visited first but I know I want to live abroad for at least a year somewhere so if anyone else has any feedback about other places, whether that be America or South Korea or anywhere else it would still be greatly appreciated
The JET programme is the typical route for graduates looking to go to Japan, some of my friends have done it and all say its great. Korea has the same thing, EPIK programme I believe, but again you need a degree. Most countries also offer working holiday visas that anyone can apply for. Really as long as you’re skilled and certified you can get a job in most places.
Alright, I’ll keep all that in mind when I’m looking. Thank you
