List of All Known TCG Major Holo Shift Cards (Misaligned Holos)

Hello everyone,

This is a list of all major TCG holo shift cards. I apologize that the pictures aren’t the best but I had to get a lot of these images from many different sources. I’m choosing to exclude the sources because these are very desirable cards and I don’t want those people to be spammed with offers if they aren’t looking to sell. If you wish to have your name known then you can either PM me or respond to this post and I will do my best to add your name next to the cards that you own. All contributions are encouraged and I will try to update the post as new contributions come in!

Due to how many cards that we’ve discovered, I’ve decided to break this post up into multiple posts. This post will continue to cover all major holo shifts, while the other post that I created will cover all minor holo shifts.

For the purposes of this article, I’m going to define “major holo shifts” as holo shifts which are very obvious at a glance, while “minor holo shifts” are holo shifts that are only apparent upon closer inspection. Minor holo shifts are usually only shifted by about ~1mm.

Due to changes in the way that cards were printed, this post will ONLY cover cards that were printed before the Black & White series (up until 2011), meaning Full Art cards will not be covered in this post.

Happy collecting

@joshspkmncollection, that electrode used to be mine haha. Also, here’s a kangaskhan you missed www.ebay.com/itm/Kangaskhan-5-64-Holo-Rare-Unlimited-Holo-Foil-Misprint-NM-Jungle-2B3/333725321037?hash=item4db394474d:g:AgcAAOSwHuhfZAZ-

@dcs Thanks!

Good job!

Got some more here: www.instagram.com/hoaxpoke/

Also saw this a while back: i.ebayimg.com/thumbs/images/g/URUAAOSwiHFdNmwb/s-l225.jpg (better pictures exist)

There are more cards out there, on top of my head I know that I’ve seen att least a Mewtwo and Hitmonchan from base and Articuno, Hypno and Haunter from fossil that you are missing. Probably got pictures saved somewhere, let me know if I should dig for them if they don’t surface from other sources. Have also seen some other german ones from neo destiny.

You should also be able to find holo shifts on all from southern islands.

I would also say that minor holo shifts on the neo destiny shining cards are pretty common.

Also, the “loading” shining cards might also fit here?

There is a shining celebi out there somewhere with a quite big holo shift, I unfortunately did not save a picture. Saw it when I collected errors in 2016/2017 but with me being 15/16 I did not have enough money.

I also have submission at psa right now that has a skarmory from neo revelation. It is not holo but the card is shifted, when they return I will post a picture.

While holo shifts are cool, this is just impossible to make a list of. Practically any card could have a holo shift, so making a list of all known just isn’t feasible.

I think the Dark Raichu and Blaine’s Arcanine are partial Holo Bleed errors instead of holo shifts, if I’m not mistaken?

If those count. I have two pack-pulled 1st edition Base Set holos that have partial holo bleeds like that. But there is no shift in the holo box, just like the aforementioned two.

I know tca gaming had an articuno at some point, I’ll see if I can get a picture

Here is a picture of a Shining Celebi holo shift from Neo Destiny: www.reddit.com/r/PokemonTCG/comments/dra0t8/ive_had_this_weird_misprinted_shining_celebi/ I have seen a worse version of the same card in the remote past.

Also a very interesting non-holo steel pokemon shift www.reddit.com/r/PokemonTCG/comments/ilm96f/found_this_skarmory_with_a_pretty_significant/

Notably, if there is one of any of these cards, there is an entire sheet with the same error. So basically every set you find will have the possibility of a complete set, they’ve just often not surfaced.

The vast majority are in the first 3 English Unlimited sets and not all have publicly surfaced. I think it’s cool to at least show one of each so people can see what they look like and update the list over time.

Wow! This is the first time I’ve seen those, thanks!

Great, thanks for these extra sources! I added the cards that I could find. I’ll PM you about getting additional pictures if there are any that I missed

Another user was able to provide a picture above, thanks for making me aware of it!

How is a card shifted without holo? Like it’s offset? Or do you mean the actual ink was shifted? :open_mouth:

That doesn’t mean we can’t try as a community. Rome wasn’t built in a day, just like this post won’t be complete in a day. A lot of people don’t even know about these so I don’t think they’re as prevalent as one might think.

You’re right, those are more holo bleeds. I removed them from the post and will include them in a separate post if I find enough of them to warrant it. Thanks!

Excellent, thank you! I just added those to the post

That’s a good point. I’ve noticed that some of these cards have the same offset, they’re probably from the same sheet!

Very cool, the shining celebi that i saw before was even worse than that one. The skarmory of mine that is at psa is the same as that one, might be from the same sheet.

My goodness, you’re hitting home runs with these articles. :astonished: I’m still catching up to the others you posted. Amazing work

Thanks, I’m glad you like them! Feel free to add these or any of the content from my posts to your master error article as well if I come across anything that you missed

I’m going to reformat the guide to be a better resource with your guides in mind. There’s just too many photos to put everything into one article! Connecting and linking all of your articles and card specific discussions will help keep information easy to dissect, read and discuss in separate threads. Quuador’s Blastoise article is another example.
