Legendary Collection Reverse Printing Defect?

Hello all,

I have been out of the pokemon collection community for about 7-8 years now. Upon recent discovery, I have found out how collectible all of my old stuff is and am in the process of getting a lot of my old cards graded. I am currently working on a bulk order to send out to PSA and had a question about some of the old legendary collection reverses I own (NOTE TO TEENAGE ME: “KEEP YOUR SKYRIDGE AND LC BOXES SEALED!”). Most of the LC Reverses I have are in pristine condition (9-10 range) however, some have a print defect line on them. My question is:

Have any of you gotten cards like this graded before? Would this be a qualifier to PSA?

Also, would this lower or increase the value of the card?

Here are some pictures:

Not sure why you would think those defects could increase the value. They minimize the grade enough as to make grading them unwise. The best you could hope for is if they overlooked them. Then a future buyer would raise hell;)

Any idea on what they would typically degrade it to assuming they were 10’s? Would it maybe be a good idea to qualify it as PD?

Let’s say a grade and a half? A pd designation would really suck to me.

These lines are very common on the legendary collection reverse holos. There are 10s out there with fat LC print lines like this but there are also a lot of people who wouldn’t buy a 10 with such a line.

Giving a 10 to a card like this is probably an oversight as Gary mentioned. You should probably expect 9 or less on these.

Yeah as @pkmnflyingmaster said these print lines are pretty common, and I know these RHs are hard to grade 10, hence why they command such a premium. As someone who has invested heavily in this set; I can speak for myself and a few friends who are also big fans and those factory lines are a big turn off, I worked hard on avoiding them as much as possible but I still have a lot in my collection and all the PSA 9s I have, have factory lines, which kind of indicates that it is a factor in how they are graded and personally I definitely wouldn’t pay a premium for a 10 with a glaring factory line.

If I were you I’d grade any you have without the factory line that have 10 potential, but I’d keep the rest raw, either way this set has gained some real traction lately so its definitely a worthwhile thing to keep in your collection regardless. I only collected them because I’m enamoured with the holo effect but there is definitely some real value in them too.

@degreen11,@garyis2000,@pkmnflyingmaster,@ankoko,

Thanks, everyone. I think I will just send them in and hope for the best. Whatever grade they get, I will just be satisfied that they are forever sealed.
