This is my collection of Kyurem, the Boundary Pokémon.
Currently collecting both JP and ENG copies of every visually distinct card (along with all promos). White Kyurem sleeves represent empty spots.
I do have the Boundaries Crossed full arts but they’re held hostage at PSA currently while I sell off my bulk to pay for the grading cost. Hoping they both get PR 1…
Did you know that there are 6 western Kyurem promos with exclusive art that Japan didn’t get? (BW44, BW58, BW59, BW62, BW63, SM142)
I thought I would have some kind of thread for my (slightly humble) collection. I’m honestly kind of surprised I’ve even come this far with collecting Kyurem, as while I think it’s a really cool monster, I’ve never been head over heels for it. Maybe it’s just my love for winter, ice and dragons that pulls it all together.
I will say I love how the Pokémon represents breaking, blending and merging of that which is black and white, possibly alluding to aspects of our lives that are morally gray. As a highly artistic person myself, there’s always something about what we consider gray areas that is endlessly fascinating to me.
I also have the Sitting Cuties plushes as well. Wholesome little men. ![]()
Did you know that the Katakana for the second attack of Cosmic Eclipse’s Black Kyurem wasn’t a direct translation? In Japanese, it’s ブリザードダスト (Burizaado Dasuto, or Blizzard Dust), while in English it became Dazzling Blizzard.
If you’ve come this far then I applaud you lol. Updates to this collection might be few and far between as I am a broke ass college student right now, so I’m just trying to appreciate what I have.
If you have any questions or other info regarding Kyurem cards, please feel free to reply below! I’d love to respond as soon as I can.
