Kurt's Card Care Safety Data Sheets

Regulatory fun fact, the states of California and New York require disclosure of ingredients for cleaning products, which Kurt’s Card Care falls under. While there is a good amount of information redacted due to being classified as a “trade secret”, thought I would share the Safety Data Sheets for anyone interested.

Spray:

Polish:

Recovery:

You can also access each full SDS (as of 10/20/25) on the Kurt’s Card Care Website at the bottom where there’s some small text that states “SDS”. Link here as well: https://www.kurtscardcare.com/sds

This is not intended to start a discussion on the ethics of using card cleaning products or services, just to share that this high level information is publicly available.

As someone who works adjacent to IP, trade secret information for SDS is kind of bullshit. Like thanks but nobody cares about your light distillates, how can we be sure your proprietary detergent is non hazardous

Is this disclosed ingredients list supposed to be every single ingredient? If so, the non-hazardous ingredient listed in each solution is likely to be water

Ive got a couple cards i want to polish up, will car wax work?

Water is very likely (definitely) referenced, but most state “ingredients”, not “ingredient”. In theory it’s everything, but they can lump a lot together.

The one entry that only states “ingredient” might be water and nothing else.
