What are some “tried and true” methods of cleaning your cards? 
I have found that acetone works super well and helps remove all the extra stuff that commonly gets on cards that obscures the holo. I also heard soaking my cards in hand sanitizer makes em flatter, removing bends and also 99% of germs.
Share your favorite very real tips below.
I usually soak my cards in water overnight and then air dry to remove all imperfections
I find that a hairdryer and toothpick combination is really good at lifting stubborn stains off of cards. Apply the hairdryer for 30s or so, then apply light pressure with the toothpick.
Ive heard using the toothpick to actually poke the card can have a reverse effect where it makes it smoother with the heat from the hair dryer. The more pokes the better
Yeah I’ve heard that too, sort of like a surface tension effect that is caused by the heat. You get better results with a scalpel, but you have to be super careful.
For creases you can “heal” and reconstitute the fibers by gently boiling the card for around 30 seconds and then ironing it until crispy dry. Try it on your bulk first to practice as it takes a few rounds to perfect the process.
Cat saliva has natural healing properties. Just make sure they dont bite the card
Rub it vigorously with Milk of Kurt, stretch, then pop a window to ventilate.

I recently purchased this blender, great for smoothies, but also speeds up card cleaning by ten-fold since you can clean multiple cards at once!
I find the following the most effective for a 10 card batch;
Just send your card to PSA as is and they will clean it for you. That’s what the upcharge is for.
I had great SUCCESS using homemade Kurt juices in combination with a microwave + hydrogen peroxide.
TUTORIAL
First, pick a card that can be repaired and would be valuable once processed, like this nice Blastoise here (which has great potential)
Then apply abundant Kurt’s splooge, must be very thick & dense. If you don’t have access to premium juices you can also use a DIY version which is simply a mix of nail polisher 30%, sunflower oil 10%, citric acid 5%, toothpaste 5%, soap 5% and the rest distilled water.
I highly suggest to save this recipe.
Don’t worry if the fluids appear to be thickening or separating, it’s completely normal. It means they are starting to repair the card surface.
Next step is the Microwave. Grab your card & now set your microwave to 60% Power for 5 minutes (Grill option is the best). This will glaze the surface and remove moisture so creases will disappear later.
Last step: put some gloves on your hands and fill a box with strong hydrogen peroxide 20-30 volumes. Then place the card on the center fully submerged or above the surface (it depends upon how much aggressive you want to be). Put a lid on and take the whole container outside in a sunny day,
In my setup I’m using an artificial UV light source, which works the same way.
Done! Clean residue and let it dry naturally under some weight or press.

Thank you for sharing your secret procedure! I noticed that a strange “2” appeared on the right side of the card. Out of curiosity, does this method also work with making “1” appear on the left side?
