The new Slowpriest Full Art Promo looks amazing …

Actually this was very interesting to do … Everything was done in Adobe Photoshop using @slowqueen image as a base. I considered Slowpriest was the perfect image for a Full Art using the Web Template (template I personally use for custom cards)

• HP is 121 because of the card number of the Korean Promo.
• Poké-Body: Please Find It!!! → This phrase is part of the community lore related to this card. Due to this phrase is linked to cards that are extremely difficult to find (Miracle cards) such as this Galarian Slowpoke, Poké-Body makes reference to all these group of cards
• Sticker Coloring Attack → Reference to the distribution of 121/S-P . This card is heavily linked to Sticker Coloring Pokémon Vol. 1 and 2 (distributed through an online purchase campaign by Kyobo Bookstore). I decided to make something like “Dark Burning Attack”, but with the name of the book. Attack points are 121 (reference to the Korean promo card)
• Everyone Laze Around → Name of one of the attacks of 121/S-P. Attack points are taken from the other attack (Tail Whap) that does 30 damage. Card effect text is taken from Slowpoke (which I guess it’s Slowqueen’s Favourite Slowpoke card)
• ID is KR/121 and Card Number is SLOW/121 (Both references to the card number of the Korean Promo)
• Weakness is because of Slowpoke and is because of 121/S-P Galarian Slowpoke.
• Resistance is because of 121/S-P Galarian Slowpoke.
• Retreat cost is also based on 121/S-P Galarian Slowpoke.
• Slowqueen is credited as the illustrator and I decided to put my name as well for converting it in a Web Full Art card.
• Decided to put the PROMO stamp because 121/S-P is also a Promotional card.

I enjoyed converting Slowpriest image into a Full Art Web card …

This thread has been amazing to follow, and is a testament to what persistence and resolve can accomplish! I had been following along silently but am glad to see you obtain your once unfindable card (Now for the potentially ton of other difficult-to-find cards for your all-language collection to also hopefully show up!)

And the Galarian Slowpoke priest is just the perfect way to wrap up this story

I’m not sure if there’s a level of joy that can top a species collector’s happiness of finding an unfindable card, extremely happy for you for the card and it’s always a sight to see when all the people are genuinely joining the excitement and joy! Also, i see a new E4 meme rising in slowpriest, have you already gotten commission requests because of it?

Four months after joining @slowqueen and @dylxxn in this hunt for 121/S-P, I too have now obtained a copy.

I told @slowqueen early on that I am eager to find one more, and, funnily enough, this entire journey has been a catalyst for my Korean Promo collection.

I had a few Korean promos and cards here and there, but never centered my collection goal around any of those Korean cards. This time, however, it’s been so far a collection I truly enjoy and appreciate.

Few years ago I offered a group of people here help with finding some Korean cards, but then slowly moved out of the hobby for a while and basically never responded (as I never logged in) to the queries and questions. I was really happy I could help someone else this time and was very invested in finding the 121/S-P.

Now four months later, I talk to @dylxxn past midnight, and send my last message at 00:38am before going to bed. It’s been nearly four months of me looking at different forums and marketplaces several times every day to find the card.

Few minutes later, @dylxxn messages me that the card randomly appeared on Bunjang, a Korean online maketplace.

(sensitive info, or maybe a curse word, was redacted..)

I was obviously not responding, but not only did @dylxxn not hesitate to send the link to JP, JP did not hesitate to buy it, and then sell to me.

The same way our Slowpriest, who sent the slowpoke to @slowqueen for free, made a forum post in Korean saying how beautiful it is that someone put all this effort, like queen did, to find a card and locate him on a very gatekeeped forum, I similarly now write about how beautiful I think it is that two random strangers, one of which shared the 1am timezone with me, pulled through to help me get the card. Thanks @jp1004 and @dylxxn . I hope Slowpriest sees this!
