Information about Korean Coloring Book Stamped Galarian Slowpoke Promo 121/S-P

I’m attaching photos of the card I own, along with some images from when it was originally distributed

I was quite surprised to see so many posts recently about Korean Pokémon cards, haha. Since this card is getting some attention now, I thought I’d quickly share some background info.

This promo card was distributed through an online purchase campaign by Kyobo Bookstore, the largest bookstore chain in Korea (similar to Borders in the U.S.).

I’m not sure if it was also available via offline purchases, but as far as I know, you couldn’t get it from any bookstore other than Kyobo.

Buyer could receive the promo card for purchases made as late as September 2021. I’m not sure about distributions after that. For reference, the coloring book was released on March 1, 2021.

Due to COVID and the relatively low interest in collecting Pokémon cards in Korea at the time, I believe this promo has become quite rare.

Please feel free to correct me or ask any questions

Incredible!! Thank you for the info!
I combed through Kyobo’s “events” tab on waybackmachine, as well as on their current site, and I believe that they either stopped loading or were not accessible earlier than 2023 (or perhaps did not log their events in the same manner prior to 2023). This information is probably the most useful we’ve found to date!

Also a point of interest: the sticker on the bottom right of the book for the SWSH campaign. We had previously thought the promo distribution and the point campaign sticker were exclusive of one another. Your information would disprove that, meaning that any books with this sticker may have a promo!

Redacting that statement: it appears your book is still sealed. Was the promo outside of the book? (It appears I may have been too excited to comment )

Amazing. Truly amazing. Just yesterday, I was watching 1 hour video tour of 교보문고, the bookstore, from 2021 to see more about the card event. No luck.

Today you are here, showing the card. Thanks for sharing!

To keep it public and make sure you wouldn’t get lowballed, would you be interested in selling or trading or both? I am very serious about finding this card.

Edit: Turns out our suspicion that this was a Kyobo event was true, since Booksense, the publisher, did not seem to know about this.
