I may have gone a little too daft on buying lately. The new way that threads are replied to has given me the oomph to start organising my posts better so I think i’ll do a new start from base set and share again.
Just a hint of what’s to come before I start reorganising my collection post!
So here goes the big rejig and cataloguing. I’m going to try and do a post to capture my new cards/replacements as well as maybe edit my original post to link to each era (assuming I can work out how to do just that)
Starting with the WOTC era
So that’s the entire Wizards era of Raichus, there’s been some big jumps forward in converting to PSA and upping the 9’s while I’m at it. I added my cards to the PSA English Raichu set list and it jumped me right to the top so it’s encouraged me to pick up some more 10’s, to add some of the more niche things and on top of that to add even more ridiculous niche things to their set list to make it even more convoluted.
The more Raichu the better though!

I’m too old to say anything except WOTC. I was obsessed and it’s just such a cherished memory. While I drifted off and back in later on, nothing has ever compared to those Saturday mornings heading to the local laser quest where the gym was held and doing the gym leader role because the owner wasn’t as hyped for Pokemon as opposed to MTG.
Was just a great time in my teens.

Not sure if I ever posted the link to the English PSA set list so here it is!
Big update today as I hit 99.46% leaving me with just the English Jasmine’s Raichu to get (which is looking unlikely right enough!) but having achieved a decent grade in most of these slots I think it’s a big enough milestone to celebrate.
My maths is I’m on 66% as top pops, 59% as 10’s. Maybe something like 7 cards that aren’t at least graded as a 9 as well which I’m pretty happy with and will keep chipping away at.
I’ve got quite a few photos to update as I went on a little upgrade spree.
Hopefully get on to that over my much needed Christmas holiday break!
I’m trying to decide if I just go for as highly graded an English set as I can or dabble in Japanese, plenty time to think about that though.
