Forgive me , I need to ask , does Mr. Sugimori not sign anything anymore ? As too why his autographs are so expensive?
Yes he doesn’t do public signing events, and hasn’t in years.
Thank you sir
This Hypno was bought for $2,000 and sent to Beckett. BGS/BAS authenticated the autograph. Personally, I would not touch it with a ten-foot pole.
BGS back at it again
I feel like I’m a noob at autographs and I can tell it’s fake. I don’t think he’s used that thin of a marker recently at all.
Never in my life would spend any money on this. I even would refuse it as a gift
4 posts were split to a new topic: Choosing the Right Grading Company for a Sugimori Card
Anyone have any data to add here? Or has it been quiet on sales for a while?
Yes, I forgot to add mine! I paid $6k in August 2024 privately to the owner that got this card signed by Sugimori at worlds:
I know he also recently sold a signed/sketched Lucario and while I do not know the exact price, I know it was north of what I paid.
Also, this Ninetales (that I am still kicking myself for not bidding on) was sold on Fanatics back in September:
That Ninetales is a beaut!
Beautiful card. I love this Poliwrath artwork and the signature looks really clean. Congratulations on the pickup and thanks for sharing.
Cheers!
@kpod Agreed! In my opinion $6,300 is a great price for the buyer for a base set holo signed by Sugimori
@mrbubbles thank you! Unlike a lot of people who dig on it, Poliwrath is actually one of my favorite Pokemon so I was pretty excited for this! I also quite enjoy Fire Red Leaf Green, and the best part was buying it directly from the person who had it signed at worlds. There exists a signed Fire Red Leaf Green Poliwhirl that I am also trying to obtain but the owner doesn’t want to budge on price
Hes only 59
This copy looks sus, as the kids say
I have heard from a reputable muscular poke that this copy came from a player, and is legit
Thanks @swolepoke
