Ken Sugimori Autograph Sales Data

I am hoping to compile a historical record of Ken Sugimori autograph sales data. Please feel free to add your personal transactions to help us create a thorough history.

This list is compiled into two sections:

  1. Confirmed Prices & Dates: Auction prices/dates confirmed through an auctioning company or best offer prices/dates extracted from https://130point.com

  2. Unconfirmed Prices & Dates: Historical sold listings found on sites like https://mavin.io that do not provide accurate prices/dates.

Yep, I agree with you. They were likely the listing prices, not the sold prices.

Wonder what’s going to happen with his future signings.

I heard a credible rumour that he might do some signing at Worlds 2023 in Japan.

For those who aren’t familiar with admiral, this is why he has the title “comedian”. :grinning:

If it helps the 700 unconfirmed sale of the scyther likely wasn’t paid and pretty confident it’s a fake autograph.

Also i bought the camerupt signed card from the ebay winner in may 2020 for $1250 via a private sale thru E4.

Thanks for this confirmation @stevethemagicguy. I will add your private sale!

Thanks for adding this @logsdale! I will add your purchase. Can you remind me what the description of this card is? I can’t remember the name/set/year.

That lava cow is iconic for sure

Haha any particular reasons it’s Iconic? Any cool story behind it? I love it just always ask myself why that was picked out of everything possible to be signed. Very happy to have it in my forever collection

The card is Copycat from Rocket Gang Strikes Back (78/84)

Not authenticated, but this piece sold for $7,000 on 8/18/22.

There is a similar graded copy listed for $90,000.

Curious whether multi-autograph cards will increase in popularity.

I can confirm the $5,999.99 sale for the Jumbo Winners Electabuzz Promo on ebay.

I also privately sold a Ken Sugimori signed Torchic, featuring a Torchic sketch, for $10,000 a couple weeks ago.

Thanks! I would need the Torchic card details, a picture of the item if possible, and the date of the sale.
