@brendantheclayboy thank you for support and all the walls of text, i always have to bring a bag of popcorn when it’s a reply or a collection addition from you but couldn’t agree more, that page shines like few things, i think it looks nice in photos already but holding it in your hands and looking at the cards from different angles in sunlight takes the experience in other dimensions.

And indeed the twin theme is fitting with my guys, @Quuador already mentioned on ig that i probably shouldn’t name the kids grimer and muk, but my way is my way we already have joked with my wife that in our family i’m muk, she is grimer and our firstborn is the baby form betobebi but with two more arrivals we have to think it to next level, 3 kids with their diapers sure can give a whole new meaning to slime army

Also, just as i was writing this, i showed the photo of that muk card to our firstborn and said what it was and it was the first time when she repeated “uk” after me and kept saying it anytime she saw the card, so it just adds to the glory of this day and event

@mannynotfound no need for gofundme or restless nights anymore i know you are joking but it also shows how personal some collectors’ journeys can get to other people too, there are and have been so many other cases, threads and collections where i’ve full celebrated a big goal completed or mourned over a missed opportunity or missing piece

I just melted when she did that, she even recognised muk from my muk mug when i was drinking coffee even though the art is completely different and kept on calling that one uk too and wanted a closer look all the time with huge smile on her face

Thank you! @haggiscollects @droripory and yeah, that was the main problem getting it, there was that psa 10 for sale for several months but the price tag was through the roof

Also, update on my firstborn’s slime journey and the start of it, in addition to “uk” she now has said her first “hiner” which was the cutest thing ever! “Pokemon” apparently is still a bit too difficult but i’ll continue the lessons

Not an easy task to do a post after that sparkle muk arrival but here goes, just a few photos this time!

It bummed me a lot that they never used the original pixel art from red/blue in any early merch, so i decided to do it myself! Thought also legos at some point but hama beads were a lot easier (and cheaper) solution. Really liking how they turned out and i’m planning to add some cardboard behind them to make them display pieces, not sure how that is best done but i’ll figure it out.

Also about displaying stuff, i got more slime figures! Found out that the finger puppet ones i already purchased a long time ago had some variants which also luckily weren’t too difficult to find. One is missing from this photo but i do believe i’ve found it and it should be already on its way to me. Also in the back row few new keshi figures that i’ve completely fallen in love with. Really love the idea of collecting my slime boys in 10+ colours, really hoping i’ll find more variants in future

Also also about displaying stuff, i bought few different resin figures of my slime boys. Not official but nevertheless really fun items, especially since shiny grimer and muk are nonexistent in pokemon merch. Hopefully i’ll soon get all the stuff i need for my display to get these figures set up along with the ones from photo above and ofc all the ones i’ve previously gotten

Another update of new additions and a lot of it with help of friends which is always nice. First posting my first ever graded card return (big thanks for poke_oki on ig) from BGS, i know they don’t get that much love and they’ve made some stupid decission attempts lately but i still like their case and label the most so i wanted to highlight my favourite cards in their slab and to experience the feeling of grading something. I was really surprised with the results since even though i can of course check the condition of my cards in regular ways i didn’t know how professionals view them. I was really shocked to see them get matching 9,5 and they will soon definitely look gorgeous in my display

After that a bunch of items from Korea that @rockabelltcg helped me get, they spent a life time in mail because Royal mail got hit by cyber attack but luckily they eventually made it safely

Then some more alolan muk battle figure additions, i’ve already had the middle sealed one for some time but the opened one and other two sealed are more recent additions. Grimer and muk aren’t very blessed with sealed stuff so with their reasonable price these were a fun purchase for the display. There’s still at least one box variant for alolan muk that i missed earlier so i’m hoping one pops up for sale again at some point

Last new addition are these bandfes items, i’m glad that such big theme got my boy included in its art. A lot of cool items with a lot of variety, first socks in my collection (tho my wife prohibited me from putting them in my display)

Also, not exactly a collection addition but my parents found some drawings i made as a kid, as you can see from the first drawing i was all for topps already as a kid

I’m super behind on my posts again but it has been hectic lately, a lot of stuff coming now.

@azulryu helped me to obtain these and i know he would have loved them in his own collection too so it’s great that he anyway guided me in right direction for these, i know i speak a common thought when i say he really is a gem as a person. It’s a bit difficult to capture in photos but one of them is golden coloured and other one is silver, which should mean i’m only missing a red coloured one. Also loving the og art of the starters on back.

I posted some of these marbles ages ago but since then i’ve gotten a lot more and also this poke ball to display them. A complete mess to try to take photos since they really can’t be placed anywhere nicely without them rolling into eternity (you can only imagine how long it took to place them in rows on that table)

I’ve earlier shared here these english battling coin game cases and i then called them niche. Well now i’m taking niche to next level and sharing the corresponding spanish versions of same cases with grimer and muk coins in them! Happy to be probably the only person in the world to hunt for such stuff

I’m pleasantly surprised there’s not one but two pencil cases with my boys in them, one even a main star of the product. Also a start with the pencils but still some work to do to fill them with unique slime related pens!

Then showing Pokemon Cafe pamphlets of my boys with some not that often used artworks. Don’t really know the purpose of them but they make some excellent display pieces.

Felt like these Korean pan stickers deserved their own photo i still find it funny how wide the spectrum is where you can find pokemon collectables, these stickers come with single packed bread of different flavours in Japan and now also Korea. I already have all the sticker variants of grimer and muk as well as their alolan counterparts in Japanese so glad that i managed to acquire also these Korean ones.

Then some cards with different languages, it isn’t my favourite grimer artwork but since it’s made by Komiya i wanted to have all versions of the card. I’ve already shown photos of the english and japanese variants and here are the rest, portuguese one being the last one i acquired.

And switching to chinese cards. With the simplified chinese cards in hand i have again examples of all the languages where grimer and muk tcg cards have been released. I’m happy to have the examples only since i don’t want to go all in and start a project of all possible grimer and muk cards in all languages for multiple reasons. Even though it would probably be very doable regarding money, the time and amount of stress it would take to hunt down everything would be too much. Also i feel like that would take the fun out of new releases including grimer and muk, now i’ve been all excited when i see new releases of them but if i had to hunt down dozens of new cards every time they get new cards i would probably just hope that they wouldn’t get anything new which is something i definitely don’t want to happen.

This one i’ve actually had almost two years but i haven’t been able to make a proper post about it until now. It’s called Haunted Pokemon Village: Frillish Frightening Fountain Figure and it has been for sale on pokemon centers from 2021, but as can be seen in reviews in a lot of cases it didn’t make it through shipping in one piece. It apparently is just too fragile since even though packed well, like with many others, mine too arrived in several pieces. Luckily mine was an ebay purchase and even though i agreed with the seller as partial refund ebay refunded me the whole amount. I was kinda bummed about it arriving broken and i didn’t have any fitting glue to fix it so it just stood in my shelf in pieces until just recently when i started putting my display together and wanted this one too in it. After finding a good glue and giving it some time i have to say i’m very glad about the end result, if i didn’t know it was broken i wouldn’t for certain see it anymore. It still feels quite fragile but as a display piece it’s absolutely full of colours and details. It’s certainly the biggest figure in my collection and a real eye-catcher, quite a sight for being free of charge imo

Then few mishmash photos of my recent slime stuff, i specially have to mention the alolan grimer uno card in second photo since i have a soft spot for all playing cards with my boys in them, and the 1999 variant of dunkin muk that’s so much more rare than the 2000 variant. Still looking for marching grimer. Another mention goes to meiji die in last photo, just my kind of niche and a great looking display item.

I have to say this was a somewhat weird and also emotional post to write since it is kind of end of an era post for me. Tomorrow we have an appointment to get the twins i and my wife are expecting in this world and while it of course is such a beautiful event i can’t deny i’m also frightened of how it goes and how life will be with three children instead of just one. It’s such a big change in so many ways that it really has gotten so much stuff going on in my mind. I haven’t had a lot of places or people to talk about it so as pokemon has really been my safety haven for a long time i’ve leant in this hobby a lot lately and it has provided some well needed rest for my mind from everything else. Life will hopefully be full of love but it will also be very different after tomorrow and i hope i’ll have some moments to check in E4 too through busy times!

I don´t know if you know, but the purple album sticker in the right bottom corner of one of the photos, the one that has poison written on the top right belongs to Polish Chipitas/Chipicao album collection, as its actually the 2nd series. There is another earlier series without the type written on the corner and usually another artwork. Congrats on the twins! and don´t worry too much, Im sure everything will turn out fine. And congratulations regarding the twins! It might be a bit overwhelming thinking about the future with the new family unit, but just focus on the positives and the joy that will surely come of this. I wish you the best, and I’m sure we’ll see you swing by E4 now and again!

A small update of recent additions.

My master ball variants of grimer and muk, super difficult to take photos but i absolutely love how they look irl! It’s not too often my boys get something this special in tcg so i’m enjoying all of this.

Then a series of mini grails for me, i’m absolutely flabbergasted to have gotten so many of those in so little time. This may look like a regular burger king uncut sheet but it’s actually a canadian version! The cards are missing poketrivia section in the bottom and they also have french translations of the weight and height. I wasn’t sure if one would ever come up for sale since it felt so niche that i was in doubt if people would list something like this but i was pleasently surprised, even though it did take few years until the opportunity came. With this arrival i’m only missing one burger king item i need and that’s the canadian promo version of grimer with clean edges, at least when assuming clean edge german cards don’t exist.

Another mini grail that i hunted for long time. This card is from quad deck that was made to celebrate 10th anniversary of pokemon and i’m very excited to finally have it, the first time i bought it the seller cancelled my order so i was already teased that i’d get this one. To my surprise the card is super thin, i highly doubt if the deck was very playable with this card stock or at least if the cards lasted very long when shuffled.

I’ve said it earlier too but i really have a soft spot for playing cards and this was for longest time my top chase of them. To my knowledge i’m now only missing three playing cards with my boys in them, leaf green deck grimer and muk and solgaleo deck muk/alolan muk since afaik the toyota netz promo deck doesn’t have a version where any slime is included which i earlier thought was the case. Wouldn’t hold my breath tho that any new ones won’t appear but until then another completed mini goal is a lot closer.

I had quite a bit of stress since i decided to send my US middleman package home after adding and storing items there for almost 1,5 years and then the shipping took 2 full months with almost 3 weeks being the longest period with no tracking updates, was already certain that the package got lost or stolen (and ranted about it in another thread here) and i would have to make quite a bit of purchases again with also some unique pieces i could never find again. But luckily it all ended well and i finally got the goods, not too many super valuable things (I think masaki golem was the most pricy one) but so many awesome niche things

I will be posting (with my slow pace) the cards and other items in the package here but this was again another mini grail i waited most eagerly and wanted to show immediately. I’ve posted earlier a matching meiji coin holder for grimer and the excitement was real when i found this muk to complete the pair! These coin holders are imo some of the coolest vintage japan items and hey are also an awesome way to display otherwise a bit tricky meiji coins.

And lastly, not perhaps the most fitting place to post this but here are my new irl additions the beginning was full of hospital nights and stress and we are still learning the new life but i’m experiencing more of them every day, hoping to share the pokemon hobby with them and their sister in future but for now they are making my E4 time a tiny bit more limited
