Hi, I’m trying to get a realistic price for all 3 of the Japanese VS booster boxes of half decks as well as some other sealed product (mostly Japanese) (Red VS Green gift box, team rocket gift box, Japanese E series sealed started deck box)
I have tried recent sales data on Ebay but the don’t appear to be selling regularly or i cant see it (maybe because of my country)
Any help would be really appreciated.
(P.S. Haven’t added photos like this before so let me know if i messed it up)
I think the last VS G/L box I heard sell was about £2000, the P/F and especially F/W are more desirable, so all 3 are probably in the £7000+ range.
For the Quick Starter gift box, probably £1500-2000. Team Rocket gift pack £1000+. E-Series deck case £1200+.
I’m not firm on the prices, so I’m not going to argue whether these estimates are accurate. But if they are, I really wouldn’t sell at those rates.
Especially the Red/Green Gift Box is in a really strange place where its contents always seem to be worth more than the sealed box.
VS also seems like a bargain for how rarely these appear for sale and jugding by the prices of minimum 10+ USD per card even for many of the commons in mint condition.
Good time to buy I guess, but too early to sell.
I’m not clued up as I used to be, so my estimates are most likely on the conservative side. It’s hard to adjust having to add zeroes on what prices used to be.
One thing about the Team Rocket gift pack though, IMO in general, it’s either overpriced relative to the Quick Starter, or the QS is underpriced. The contents inside the TR have little value compared with the QS. So a lot of value is being placed on that plastic seal.
I just bought a Red/Green Giftbox and paid £3000 for it. I had the money and only one other was for sale on eBay, the seller had it for sale for $3000 obo but increased it to $5750 and I was too late to make a decent offer before he raised the price, c’est la vie. I’m really happy with that box! Not sure if others will pay that much too though

The lineup is definitely Fire/Water > Psychic > Grass, while I don´t know about any recent sales for F/W, I know of a sale in September for 2600$ for the Grass. These boxes are extremely weird to me, I own them myself - they are ALWAYS very cheap compared to all the other boxes while being extremely unique. I bought one in beginning of 2019 for 450euro when wotc boxes were 1.5-2k + also japanese “wotc” boxes were way more expensive than 450euro at the time.
I think these boxes are so extremely niche that only a handful of people really care about them.

I agree with you about the VS boxes. Everyone always seems surprised that they go for less than they think, and then proceeds to not buy one.
