Japanese Unlimited E Series 1 Cards (Base Expansion Pack)

So, I’ve been looking into it for a while. But I have yet to see any evidence of an E1 Unl Larvitar existing. It says its one of the 8 random possible cards, and I’ve seen several photos of the other possible cards in unlimited. Maybe it’s just cause Larvitar isn’t as popular? And of course, just cause I haven’t found a photo, doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. But I have to ask owners of E1 unlimited cards, and people still searching for them, have you seen a Larvitar out in the wild before? I’d love to know, as I’d love to own one one day

I’ve never seen a larvitar. Considering how well known these E1 unlimited cards are in Japan nowadays I believe if the Larvitar were as common as the others it would have surfaced.
It is possible the cards were handed out based on location and that certain extremely scarce E1 unl cards exist unseen.

I actually had no idea the Ponyta unlimited from Mag vol 4 was the only one with official background! I checked my collection after reading this, and I picked up this on PWCC for maybe $30 since I realized I didnt have the unlimited version. Of course as a Ponyta collector, I have one sealed in the magazine as well. Good to know!

Some extra information here in the description which we don’t normally see.

"Card e1 Pikachu
016/128 No edition mark

I don’t remember the details, but I got it by having one card drawn from a stack of cards at an event such as a gym official event.
Items in this series that do not have an edition mark are extremely valuable as they have little circulation." - Translation.

Japanese Text
"カードe1 ピカチュウ
016/128 エディションマークなし

詳細な経緯は覚えていませんが、ジムオフィシャルなどのイベント時にカードの束から1枚引かせてもらう方式で入手しました。
このシリーズでエディションマークがないものは流通量が少なく大変貴重です"

Hey hey! Sorry to revive this after so long, but is this up to date? Would you say that’s reasonable to assume all of the cards from Pokémon-e Starter Deck exist as Unlimited variants?

The list hasn’t been kept up to date and as far as we’re aware, there is no evidence to suggest any of the cards from the e-Starter Pack or Base Expansion Pack which haven’t already been released as unlimited, will be.

However, in saying that Akabane can disprove anything we think in a matter of time.
