I know that at the very least the Legendary Collection is overpriced; the reverse holo part of it can be found for less than half that right now, and the regular part of it isn’t worth nearly as much. I snagged my reverse holo LC set for 500 earlier this year.

I may very well have… although I do recall seeing quite a few listings in that price range back then. Maybe prices have just gone up since.
