I know a couple of people who own this card, I think there are less than 50 though I have also read 30 that were made. Kangaskhan 1998 Parent Child Mega Battle Trophy Card. In Japan, this card was released through the Parent/Child Mega Battle tournament held in May 1998. The prize was awarded to those parent and children teams who had reached a certain number of wins. This card is one of few promotional cards to feature the original Pocket Monsters Trading Card Game logo as a set symbol. This symbol is usually reserved for only the rarest of PokƩmon cards. Personally I love the art myself ![]()
Iām pretty sure there are more than 30 copies in existence. I would say the amount is between 50 and 80 copies⦠Thatās just my personal opinion from the amount of copies Iāve seen popping up in the past 9 years so dont quote me on that (I know people tend to do it in regards to quantity discussions).
There are definitely more than 50 copies of the trophy khan. The karp and khan were always rumored by the japanese to have had around 1,000 intended distribution, but if those numbers were actually distributed and the amount remaining is impossible to quantify.
Yes, there are graded examples:

Goodness gracious
IMO it is fine the way you have been handling it.
Iām just really grateful for all that you do to follow up with this and try to make it interesting. Content generation is so important and Iām horribly inept at it.
So itās decided, when I will be engineer and earn money, I will buy one copy of this card ![]()
Oh! you weāre the one who bought that listing!! I see now.
This was on ebay last year I think the three for quite a few grand or something, and it was open to offers.
Nice work!!
Actually this was not an ebay purchase. ![]()
@kkthxbai youāre referring to Aliās cards that sold on eBay recently. They are not the cards in the picture which belong to Scott. I know at least 4 members here who own a Trophy Khan. There are a few more who are hunting for their copy.
The Trophy Khan has gained popularity in the last year or so and have increased in value quite significantly.

Oh ok,
because I remembered a listing with the unikarp, trophykhan and tropical wind all three PSA graded together much like @smpratte 's photo. It must of been Aliās listing as you mentioned from last year.
I didnāt know what it sold for though.
There was even one on YJA recently⦠they will pop aroundā¦
I hopeā¦
The eBay listing had the Trophy Khan, Unikarp and the bilingual 9th Lucky Stadium.
Amongst trophy card collectors, the Trophy Khan has become sort of a must-have. I am looking for one myself as Iām very impressed with its artwork done by Ken Sugimori and the original Pocket Monster logo made its overall design really attractive. Perhaps one of these days⦠![]()
