I’ve never owned a PSA card… and only had aspiration to re-complete the sets that I had stolen from me over the years. I’ve got base set done, the quality isn’t the best. I’m working my way up. I discovered a love for the Expedition base set. Now I’m hooked again. I found this site and I’m sure I can get some good price checks, but I’m not sure if by trading/buying through E4 if I’d be able to finish the sets. I don’t have PSA cards 
Nope, this is simply a place for collectors to have discussion. You’ll find that a lot of the conversation tends to be around PSA since many users here are part of the ‘higher end’ side of collecting that naturally implies authentication and striving for the highest level of condition.
So while there will be a lot of discussion regarding PSA, there’s zero obligation to actually collect graded cards to be here.

Awesome! Yo, can I tell you all something? I was feeling lucky yesterday, I literally said so out-loud to my girl. I told her I wanted to buy Unbroken Bonds boosters because I felt lucky. I swear I saw a Reshiram&Charizard as an image in my mind. So I did it, I went and bought my first 2 Unbroken Bonds booster packs. My first pack was a Reverse-holo rare, and a non-holo rare. My second pack, OMFG it was THE Reshiram&Charizard, the regular version(not secret). I WAS SCREAMING WTF!!! How cool… right?? This card is OP in the game. It’s a basic Pokemon!!! LOL My girl is gonna hate me when I add this to my deck.
Edit: Question… it cost a lot of money to get cards graded right? I don’t have PSA, and I don’t think I have enough volume to justify a sub.

You just send your cards to Charlie, he reviews and provides his pre-grade assessment, and then you decide which cards you want graded. He’ll send them off to PSA and provide weekly updates on their progress through the PSA workload. Once they’re done, he’ll ship them back to you. The cards you don’t get graded will be returned to you for a small fee.
Current rates are as follows for the US:
1 Card - $13.50
2-4 Cards - $12.50 per card
5-19 Cards - $11.50 per card
20-29 Cards - $9.99 per card
30-49 Cards - $9.25 per card
50+ - $8.99 per card

oh wow… that’s a really neat and awesome service for someone to offer! I watched an smpratte video and I’m pretty sure I understand that I need to take the $13.50+ungraded card value=$n, I want $n to be < psa 9-10 value whereas the difference is increasing the value.
