A coworker is looking to sell it for $400. From what I saw the cards are generally in OK shape. Scratches and edge wear maybe typical of something an older kid owned. Nothing is destroyed but nothing is super clean- except maybe the LC reverse Raichu. It’s been a bit since I saw them in person but I don’t recall any scratches on that one.
My main interest would be in keeping a substantial portion of these cards. Not trying to flip them.
For a personal collection, if you already dont mind the condition, youve got base charizard, dark charizard, dark blastoise, and ho-oh all being valued $400usd at mp condition. Everything else is on top of that so if you need it for a personal collection, have the cash, dont mind a deal with a coworker, then I dont see a reason why not.
400 is a steal for all these cards. Buying them separately (mostly the holos) would way exceed 400. If I had this dangled in front of me I would immediately take them up on it.
That’ll leave you with $400 less and about 15 lp/mp unlimited wotc holos. Maybe if you need them for completing binder sets, otherwise I wouldn’t. (just my 2c obviously)
It’s a decent childhood collection. If I was trying to collect or build Unlimited sets I wouldn’t rule it out. Charizard, Venusaur and a few of the other holos probably are the most value there. It’s a little hard to tell the conditions, but if they’re like EX-NM, then it’s not a bad deal to me as the Charizard alone will easily sell for nearly 50% or more of what he’s asking, assuming it’s like a PSA 5 or so. If you could get it all for like $300-$350, I’d probably go for it.
Alright, picked it up today. Here are the holos, some (in my mind) non-holo rare highlights, and some random movie cards. Conditions are all over the place but there are some nice enough cards in here. There were also a bunch of “bulk” cards with 1st edition stamps.
If you wanted this, it’s a great deal! Nice pickup! …but why does kangaskhan always get beat up?
The swirl on that slowbro is perfectly placed too. haha. ocket grunt thinks this was a good idea.
Yeah I try not to throw things out but I can’t see a reason to keep the Kangaskhan or TTar. Weird how much of the cards were kinda OK but just a few really had it.
