Well this was my goal , too have this beauty and I finally did it. The next goal … Psa 9 no rarity Japanese Charizard , I think I should take a break from the higher value vintage market for now , maybe grab some more vintage Pokémon toys ?? Not sure but wanted too share this moment with the community as it’s a huge shiny moment in my life too actually have this in my hands now :raised_hands: it’s no 10 but too me it’s still a gem :smiling_face_with_tear:

Congrats! I think that’s a pretty awesome accomplishment, my friend.

Also - don’t be ashamed of a 9. No one in their right mind would argue ol Zard as a 9 is a “bad card”. Also if you want to take a break, then go for it. Do whatever makes you happy.

I have a PSA 5 and consider it one of the best cards in my collection. I also think it’s a strong 5, but just my opinion on it. A 9 is a really nice copy, so I would not be at all ashamed to acquire this compared to a 10. Base Set 1st Ed Charizard has and will always be special in any grade/condition IMO.

Congrats on acquiring it. I am personally taking a couple of months off from collecting since I bought mine.

Congrats! Such a huge collection addition. You actually just achieved my current goal. :slightly_smiling_face:

I am laser-focused on picking up a 1st Ed PSA 9 Zard.

I’ve sold over 200 cards from my collection over the last 3 months to help build up the funds to buy one.

So with any luck I’ll be sharing a 9 pickup too in the coming months!

Especially with the market being a bit lower than earlier this year or last holiday season if you can buy now before ( and if prices go up soon ) a price raise !

I think they were going for around 30K CAD ( sorry I’m from Canada lol )

Now there about 23-25k CAD

That’s a good deal to me hence why I traded and put some mula down for this one !

If you do get an older slabbed one I would highly suggest getting it sent to PSA and put into a newer slab with that newer label. I did that and the slab looks crisp and shiny lol

I have heard that PSA when re holdering your card if they see that the card does not reflect its grade too todays standards by a lot they will buy out your card and take the cert out of the database BUT I’m not sure if that’s accurate.

If it is … always buy the card not the grade as I’m sure you have heard and read before :raised_hands::innocent:
