Haha I guarantee not. He’s talked about pokemon once ever in like a decade of me watching him . I think everything we’ve said here might just be industry consensus at this point lol
Great, everyone is going to read it and think we are crazy
Let’s keep this focused on the main topic please.
Showing final results would be more insightful than items currently at auction.
The BGS 8 is a joke as it looks very similar to the PSA 5 that is also being auctioned tonight on Fanatics. Here are the three cards.
PSA 8 has a couple good chunks taken out of it too.
Pretty weak zords this week. But the bgs 8 is an embarrassment for sure
At least that PSA 8 is relatively centered. The others are rough across the board damn
Let’s not rehash the grading BGS vs psa question.
There are many cards under and over graded from both companies. Just pick your poison.
Like I don’t think this should be a psa 9 with the deep scratches (BGS would give 8 surface).
At any rate, this is the key issue BGS needs to address - realised auction sale values.
Everything they do from now on should be to boost that number, as it’s a key metric driving submission demand.
Even with up-charges and comparatively similar (or worse) graded cards, PSA still on the whole gets more value at auctions.
Man just let it go
Ok for real guys this thread should just be about BGS news, which is in everyone’s benefit to follow and stay updated on, @charizardespana has done a good job on that front.
This is not the place to compare PSA and BGS graded cards. You can make a new thread if you really want to do that. Focus on BGS here and stick to updates.
Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. BGS recently charged my order, so it looks like things are moving along normally. I wouldn’t restrict submissions based on these larger financial woes. It seems like things are still operating as normal.
Nope. Base is 45 business days I believe. 3 months door to door and this doesn’t include holidays.
If you haven’t got your sub by the end of Jan then you can start to worry.
My standard sub was logged yesterday. I’ll update people as it goes.
No, you should not worry about that, they are working as usual.
Currently I have 4 active orders at BGS.
Two from early October, both were Base tier Submission, one of them has been already graded and waiting for labels & encapsulation, the other one should be close to get in that stage soon.
The third one was a submission for reincapsulation, it was send to BGS in late October, almost November, and has been shipped back to me yesterday.
The last one was sent to Beckett a few days before Black Friday and has been confirmed to be at the BGS facilities.
thats just sub gem mint grades for beckett in a nutshell
Hi everyone, i just found an article on Collectivus Holdings acquiring Beckett. It was interesting for me to learn from the article that the Kevin Isaacson (as OP mentioned in the first post) is also the CEO of Collectivus. I am not sure what value-add the acquisition would bring in this case if current executive leadership remains at the helm, and what this would mean for Beckett going forward.
Sounds like a legal shell game where the goal is under which company to hide the debt.
